Educational Requirements:
∎ University degree at MSc level in Remote Sensing, Geographic Information Systems or Computer Sciences with four years of relevant professional experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant training and field experience.

∎ Division/Unit: Needs and Population Monitoring (NPM)
∎ General Functions:
∎ Under the overall supervision of the Deputy Chief of Mission and Head of Operations, Cox`s Bazar,
∎ Bangladesh and the under the direct supervision of the Needs and Population Monitoring (NPM)
∎ Coordinator, the successful candidate will be expected to perform GIS related task, carry out drone flights and process & process imageries.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Prepare datasets imagery and split imagery for packages.
∎ Prepare datasets in different software (QGIS/ArcGIS, Google Earth, MBTiles generation plugin, Web Mapping Tiles Services (WMTS).
∎ Produce and share Imagery and GIS packages from drone imagery datasets in various platforms including IOM web portal, Open Aerial Map, HDX - Humanitarian Data Exchange.
∎ Carry out drone flights in the Rohingya Refugee camps.
∎ Provide/coordinate the full maintenance of the UAV and any related device.
∎ Perform regular verification and production of UAV Imagery Aerial (Support field activities by creating information packages and GIS tools per camp)
∎ Participate in collecting and processing UAV imagery using software: Emotion2, pix4dcapture, pix4ddesktop, pix4dcloud and Drone deploy.
∎ Assist the implementation of geographic data management systems and workflows, design and implement actions to improve GIS data quality.
∎ Participate in the production of a Digital Elevation Model from the collected imagery.
∎ Produce camp maps using ArcGIS Pro software in order to disseminate the collected imagery.
∎ Prepare and generate information products in a timely manner, and support on products sharing and dissemination to all relevant channels.
∎ Coordinate with IOM's internal units and other partners on ad-hoc mapping requests and drone flights.
∎ Participate in energy & environmental working group meetings.
∎ Provide training and assist in skills development support GIS activities.
∎ Any other duties that might be assigned.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Experience in remote sensing or GIS. Knowledge of ArcGIS, Goggle earth pro and or other mapping and remote sensing software.
∎ Knowledge of QGIS and ArcGIS
∎ Good writing, communication and negotiation skills.
