Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Ensure partners have a clear understanding of the Disability Inclusion Work Plan and collaborate with them to implement its principles effectively.
∎ Providing disability inclusion capacity development support to all AHPIV agencies. Develop and execute a training program to empower staff within partner agencies.
∎ Offer timely technical support to partners on integrating disability inclusion into key tools and documents.
∎ Joint partner field visits, offering on-the-job support and monitoring to ensure effective disability inclusion.
∎ Synthesize and share international best practices in disability inclusion with partners to promote effective strategies.
∎ Attending and organizing different meetings.
∎ Collaborate with AHPIV consortium partners to track progress, report achievements to the Inclusion Manager and ensure accountability by identifying areas for improvement.
∎ Develop and deliver training on disability standards, awareness, inclusion, and etiquette for staff, volunteers, and community.
∎ Help organizations develop and review disability-inclusive policies for best practices and legal compliance.
∎ Conduct accessibility assessments of different facilities to identify and address barriers. Provide recommendations for modifications.
∎ Develop and disseminate accessible resources (guides, toolkits, IEC materials) on disability inclusion.
∎ Offer technical support to organizations in making their programs, services and events accessible.
∎ Facilitate community dialogues to discuss disability issues and promote inclusion. Organize events celebrating disability diversity and culture.
∎ Conduct advocacy campaigns to raise awareness, combat stereotypes, and promote participation of people with disabilities.
∎ Train and support staff/volunteers in disability inclusion, providing guidance on accommodations and inclusive practices.

∎ Collaborate with AHPIV partners, different organizations, advocacy groups, experts to leverage their expertise and resources.

∎ Manage budget allocations for disability inclusion activities, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
∎ Empower people with disabilities via consultation, capacity building, and forming self-help/support groups.
∎ Develop and share case studies, success stories that highlight effective disability inclusion initiatives.
∎ Prepare regular reports on the progress of disability inclusion activities and their impact on the project outcomes.
∎ Organize IDPD Observation, mainstream awareness events (Water Day, 16 Days Campaign, etc.) with relevant organizations and participate in government/other awareness programs, focusing on IASC guidelines and disability inclusion.
∎ Where possible, connect with initiatives (national, regional, local) to support OPD leaders in training mainstream humanitarian organizations on disability-inclusive response strategies.
∎ Collaborate with Inclusion Manager to complete required narrative reports.
∎ Liaise with CDD’s rehabilitation team to conduct survey, studya improve scope of inclusion in internal program.
∎ Maintain regular coordination with CDD to share info on challenges person with disabilities are facing to access services, develop joint solutions and share info on referrals.
∎ Participate in the Age and Disability Working Group (ADWG), other mainstreaming organizations and other sector coordination meetings to provide technical input on disability inclusion.
∎ Identify areas for professional development and collaborate with Save the Children International to create action plans for skill improvement.
∎ Engage in self-directed learning to enhance skills and competencies independently.
∎ Seek feedback, necessary support to achieve skill improvement and meet objectives.
