Requirements:

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 25 years
∎ Professional experience in the field of Urban, Rural, and Regional Development Planning.
∎ Knowledge of GIS, and AutoCAD is mandatory.
∎ Good communication and networking skills both in Bangla & English
∎ Excellent computer skills with work-related software packages.
∎ Able to oversee multiple tasks, prioritizing and delegating as required.
∎ Knowledge of different data collection methodologies such as the KOBO toolbox.
∎ Willingness to work in Refugee Camps.
∎ Willingness to work under pressure during emergency response.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Conduct site assessments to evaluate land conditions, infrastructure requirements, and environmental impact.
∎ Assisting the organization on adopting Macro Settlement Plan and mainstreaming the MSP at Camp level in coordination with relevant govt. and non-government stakeholders
∎ Preparation of Meso Plan, Camp Plan and Site Plan as required Conducting feasibility assessment for new construction considering Macro Settlement Planning, Hazard Risk, evaluating gaps & connecting the site development components in camps to create a hierarchy channels to understand the source & propose mitigation strategies for the risks.
∎ Designing site plans using AutoCAD, Monitor Shelter & Site Development Construction activities in the camp and align them with Site Plan and Site Planning Standards.
∎ Mapping Shelters, existing physical features, and ongoing activities.
∎ Conducting training on implementation of Site Plan and Site Planning standards.
∎ Lead & monitor a huge database collection of all shelter & site development components through field maps in UNHCR AOR 9 camps.
∎ Prepare detailed reports on site planning activities, including assessments, surveys, and findings.
∎ Stay updated with local zoning regulations, building codes, and environmental guidelines.
∎ Ensure site plans and development proposals comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
∎ Utilize mapping software, GIS (Geographic Information System), and other tools such as field maps, AutoCAD to analyse site data, land use patterns, and infrastructure requirements.
∎ Conducting gap analysis to identify the priority projects.
∎ Develop reporting tools and work closely with the MEAL team to ensure accurate reporting of implementation-related activities.
∎ Establish and maintain relations with SCCCM sector, Twig & other stakeholders and ensure that site planning/site development activities are conducted in a manner which guaranties staff and refugee safety in the site.
∎ Assist in any process of improving the camp environmental to provide the refugees a better living environment.
∎ Prepare regular reports on work progress of various urban planning activities and provide settlement planning inputs to the technical units through bi-weekly/monthly Situation Report and quarterly & annual report.
∎ Organize meetings, training and learning sharing events, to address issues along with providing updates.
∎ Coordinate & assist in project activities and resources to ensure timely and successful project completion.
∎ Perform other related duties as per the instruction of management according to the project’s need.
