Educational Requirements:

Experience Requirements:

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Implementation of the Project. (70%)
∎ Support to implement activities to understand the water gauge setup and flood bulletin mechanism in close coordination with relevant stakeholders local and Upazila level.
∎ Support the institutional capacity building of stakeholders to enhance their response capabilities to floods using FbA mechanism and early action matrix
∎ Community mobilization which will involve organizing and participating in community sensitization meetings, monthly planning and review meetings and taking the opportunity to support dissemination of appropriate information on FbA.
∎ Coordinate with local disaster management committees to collect Community Risk Assessments (CRA) and participate in developing vulnerability maps for unavailable areas and RRAP development
∎ Facilitate the establishment of threshold action matrices through multiple stakeholder community consultations.
∎ Promote local level advocacy in FbA, flood preparedness and early warning early action.
∎ Support the achievement of gender equity in regard to emergency activities.
∎ Prepare Plan and provide adequate monitoring and field visit to the project sites.
∎ Identify and facilitate use of local resources in routine project implementation
∎ oordination (05%)
∎ Maintain close coordination with stakeholders particularly local disaster management committees to ensure their active participation in implementation of FbA
∎ Distribute IEC materials to relevant institutional stakeholders to ensure quality technical messages and approaches is reaching all the target beneficiaries.
∎ Mobilize local support of civil society, community leaders, and other elite for quality project implementation as per procedures of IRB,
∎ Promote and motivate inclusive participation by community representatives, in all project activities, taking care to assist cooperation with regard to gender, etc.
∎ Effective and efficient use of project assets and resources (5%)
∎ Ensure effective and efficient use of project assets and resources in accordance with IRB policies and procedures
∎ Reporting (05%)
∎ Compile relevant project data, and prepare documents for the evidence base for FbA.
∎ Maintain administrative/financial files and project documentation.
∎ Provide regular updates/reports to the Project Officer and Project manager.
∎ Perform any other duties as required by the project and IRCO management.
∎ Ensuring quality through regular monitoring of activities, checking appropriate standards and procedures.
∎ Analyze data from the field and produce information/briefs to inform. interventions, strategies, projects/programmes and produce maps.
∎ Assist with data collection and processing.
∎ Functional the complaint feedback mechanism (CFM) and feedback system-5%
∎ Ensure the CFM process at all stages of the project.
∎ Maintain continuous orientation of staffs on CFM process Ensure complain log and register at project office level
∎ Ensure the visibility of the project in different stages and level
∎ Others (10%)

∎ Participate & involved with seasonal programs (Ramadan, Qurbani, Winterization, etc.) activities.
∎ Ensure that local purchases and expenditures are done as per Islamic Relief Bangladesh policy.
∎ Maintain the stock book, inventory, and other essential registers properly and timely in an effective manner.
∎ Support in the procurement of materials like requisition, follow-up, etc.
∎ Propose some methodology, according to the proposal, and provide it with the experience and lessons learned from the other organizations.
∎ Perform any other duties assigned by Supervisor
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation to achieve the program’s goals on safeguarding implementation and as well as Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Being a member of Islamic Relief as a child-friendly organization, it is the core responsibility and obligation of each staff member to understand and obey IR Child Protection & PSEA Policy and respond accordingly as and when required.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Experience in working with Disaster Preparedness / Flood Forecast & Early Warning Systems / Forecast based Assistance / Forecast based Finance / Anticipatory Action / Disaster Resilience related project
∎ Working knowledge of Microsoft Word/ Excel/PowerPoint/Adobe Photoshop/ Basic Internet/ etc.
