∎ "Samprity Disability Rehabilitation and Inclusion (SDRI)" is a transformative project initiated by the Samprity Aid Foundation with the primary goal of providing comprehensive rehabilitation for individuals with disabilities. Job Responsibilities:
∎ 1.Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Development:
∎ Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to assess and understand the unique needs and abilities of each child.
∎ Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to the specific requirements of children with disabilities.
∎ 2.Teaching Children with Disabilities:
∎ Create and implement lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities within the classroom.
∎ Utilize adaptive teaching methods, materials, and technologies to accommodate the needs of children with disabilities.
∎ 3.Counseling to Parents:
∎ Provide regular updates and feedback to parents on their child's progress and development.
∎ Offer guidance and counseling to parents, addressing concerns and providing resources to support their child's learning at home.
∎ 4.Collaboration with Support Staff:
∎ Work closely with teaching assistants, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and other support staff to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to student development.
∎ 5.Inclusive Classroom Management:
∎ Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that encourages the active participation of all students.
∎ Implement behavior management strategies to address individual needs and maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
∎ 6.Adaptation of Curriculum:
∎ Modify and adapt the curriculum to meet the diverse needs of students with disabilities.
∎ Provide additional support and resources to help students achieve their educational goals.
∎ 7.Assessment and Progress Monitoring:
∎ Conduct regular assessments to evaluate the academic and developmental progress of each student.
∎ oMonitor and adjust teaching strategies based on individual student responses and needs.
∎ 8.Documentation and Reporting:
∎ Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of each student's academic and behavioral progress.
∎ Prepare detailed reports for parents, administrators, and other stakeholders, as required.
∎ 9.Professional Development:
∎ Stay informed about advancements in special education, inclusive teaching practices, and relevant educational technologies.
∎ Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
∎ 10.Advocacy and Community Engagement:
∎ Advocate for inclusive education within the school and community.
∎ Engage with parents, community members, and relevant organizations to raise awareness about the importance of inclusive education.
∎ A Special Education Teacher for Children with Disabilities plays a pivotal role in creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. By developing individualized education plans, providing specialized instruction, and collaborating with parents and support staff, they contribute to the overall well-being and academic success of students with diverse learning needs.
