Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science, CSE
Experience Requirements:
∎ 3 to 5 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
Database management System, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, REDIS
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Identify database requirements by solution vendors and application team; evaluate and implement as required.
∎ Recommend solutions by defining database physical structure and functional capabilities, database security, data back-up, and recovery specifications.
∎ Study and analysis of the online documentation, recommend and deploy the security upgrade, new releases and modify database tuning parameters for enhancing the performance as well as security hardening and also evaluate server computer operating systems and hardware products.
∎ Database automatic backup configuration.
∎ Monitor and ensure regular backups of all the databases and execute restore & recovery operations in case of emergency to meet the contingency and disaster recovery plan.
∎ Document the operation details and presentations in order to meet the operational quality benchmark.
∎ Prepare the Database Access Policy and Database Security Policy Documentation and feasibility analysis discussion within the team.
∎ Provide ad-hoc support to the team when required and also as a teamwork while urgent work has to be done in a short notice.
∎ Provide support to application team and solution vendors during test and development phases of any fixes and upgrades in the test database and application servers.
∎ Coordinate with application vendors during the planned activities for deployment of application upgradation and fixes and ensure the functionality of the application and database systems.
∎ Development and testing of automation scripts by Shell scripting.
∎ Involve in cross-functional activities and maintain liaisons to ensure smooth service delivery and operations.
