Job Responsibilities:
∎ To understand European trends
∎ Assess samples in terms of quality and styling
∎ To be able to work in team with fabric team and sample room
∎ Need to coordinate printing/embroidery/washing during sample development
∎ To understand technical files of buyer and to do risk analysis on each style
∎ To reengineer critical styles and propose options to buyers.
∎ To understand pattern and able to fit garments and make comments
∎ Source fabric/Accessories requests from buyers' technical file
∎ Research and development : to source new types of
∎ fabric
∎ accessories
∎ print
∎ embryo
∎ wash
∎ Finishing ( propose mock ups)
∎ Need to keep updated recap of all accessories requests with supplier name, Leadtime and prices.
∎ To do close follow up of development with factory and sample room. Keep an updated record of sample recap
∎ To work in coordination with the merchandiser for pricing/designer for new propositions.
∎ To chase merch/sample room/factory to get development sample on time.
∎ Update fabric/accessories library all the time.
∎ + Points : Experience with French customers / Design Background
∎ MAIN OBJECTIVE: To have a proper understanding of the customer requirements and send right first time sample within very short delay (max 5 days) and to have a proper overview of all developments.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Minimum 5 years of apparel production and/or product development experience in Knit.
∎ Knowledge of garment construction and a variety of fabrications
∎ Good at excel and able to communicate on outlook
∎ Dynamic analytical, problem solving and project management abilities with proven systems knowledge and expertise
∎ Strong understanding of product development calendars and sense of urgency to meeting all required deadlines
∎ Ability to forge strong partnerships with overseas teams as a means to drive clarity on all development and pre-production requirements and issue resolution
∎ Flexibility with regards to job responsibilities
∎ Plan and prioritize daily working time effectively with the ability to work in a fast paced environment
∎ Effective interpersonal and organizational skills;
∎ Strong team orientation
∎ Excellent discretion, judgment, tact and diplomacy
∎ Demonstrated ability to learn new computer programs quickly
