Additional Requirements:
∎ Candidates must have proven experience in program planning, budgeting, financial management, staff management, and report writing, along with monitoring and evaluation skills.
∎ A clear understanding of human rights, climate change, environmental degradation, climate induced human rights violation gender and addressing human rights violation and human rights-based project dynamics is essential.
∎ Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant tools is required.
∎ Experience in networking, collaborating with union/upazila/district administrations, and national networks is necessary.
∎ Male candidates must possess a valid motorbike driving license.
∎ The candidate should be willing to stay at the upazila level with frequent visits to remote areas and have a solid knowledge of safe grading (Child Protection, Gender, & Anti-Sexual Harassment).

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Arrange different program, meetings and workshop align with the budget.
∎ Organise, manage and facilitate all sorts of trainings at field level of the project area in Rajshahi and Naogaon districts.
∎ Prepare issue specific training manual and modules in consultation with project management team.
∎ Facilitate training for young and adult Human Rights Defenders (HRDs), students, teacher and CSO members from village to district level on conflict sensitive human rights-based approach to environment and climate change, climate advocacy and networking issues and conduct training for staff and stakeholders.
∎ Facilitate conflict sensitive democratic dialogue with CSOs and local authorities from union to district levels.
∎ Organize trainings for local CSOs on human rights-based approach (HRBA), conflict-sensitive approaches, climate change and gender-based violence (GBV), community mobilisation and advocacy, participatory monitoring and reporting.
∎ Organize trainings for student forums at school and college levels, teachers and SMC members on HRBA, conflict-sensitive approaches, climate change and GBV, low-carbon alternatives.
∎ Coordinate climate resilient innovative initiatives, coordination of rapid response and support mechanism and reporting.
∎ Organise journalists at district level and train them on reporting about the nexus of climate change, environmental harm and HRV.
∎ Communication with government agencies and service providers, managing and monitoring program staff and ensuring safeguards during meetings and activities.
∎ Support the Project Coordinator in preparing and maintaining reporting and documentation.
∎ Provide input to develop IEC/BCC materials and prepare training and event reports.
∎ DASCOH Foundation is currently seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Technical Officer for its project titled ‘Environmental Human Rights for a Just Transition: Strengthened Local CSOs Transforming Climate Hotspots into Resilient Communities (ENGAGE). This project will be implemented in Tanore and Godagari Upazila of Rajshahi district and Manda and Mohadebpur Upazila of Naogaon district. The project is being implemented in collaboration with other NGOs in 6 districts having NETZ Bangladesh as the lead organisation. European Union (EU) is financially supporting the project. The Position will be available from 1 April 2025 to 31 December 2028. The detailed eligibility requirements of the position as mentioned below:
