Educational Requirements:
∎ B.Sc (Honors) in Agriculture ,Horticulture, Agronomy, Nutrition from any recognized university with minimum second class/division or equivalent GPA/CGPA in all academic examinations
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 3 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Oversee the identification and selection of project beneficiaries and ensure data base of the selected beneficiaries.
∎ Oversee the distribution of agro-inputs identification and other resources ensuring quality to support the establishment of homestead gardening.
∎ Provide technical input/support to effectively implement the homestead gardening components such as nutrition-sensitive demonstrations plots, institutional gardening, kitchen and vermi-compost at the community level.
∎ Prepare training materials on homestead gardening and provide capacity building training of the technical assistant and Community Nutrition Promoters (CNPs) to ensure quality required for the successful training.
∎ Document lessons learned case study and support for learning and advocacy.
∎ Provide information for analysis and reporting.
∎ Assist Sector Specialist in her/his work in supervision of the project activities.
∎ Any other responsibilities assigned by the supervisor.
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
