∎ Proven experience in managing construction or rehabilitation projects related to sanitation facilities is preferred.
∎ At least 2 years of experience in applying WASH policies, Water and sanitation programming procedures and tools in low resource settings, and outbreaks and or health emergency response.
∎ Experience in collaboration with national authorities on environmental health, including WASH.
∎ Proficiency in the Rohingya language will be an advantage.
∎ Experience in field hospital hygiene promotion and hygiene promotion programming.

∎ The Opportunity
∎ The Technical Specialist - WASH and Infection Control will work in a 40-bed hospital serving Forcibly Displaced Myanmar Nationals and host communities in Teknaf. The incumbent will ensure quality implementation of activities related to sterilization processes, linen management, healthcare waste management, and the treatment of water used in hospital operations. This role will ensure compliance with health regulations, safety standards, and universal hygiene protocols to provide a safe environment and high-quality healthcare, while also managing the construction or rehabilitation of sanitation facilities in collaboration with the WASH Program Lead. The incumbent will coordinate with various internal and external stakeholders and the health sector for day-to-day operations. In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder is expected to adapt to work outside the normal role profile and adjust working hours as required.
