Job Context:
∎ If you hold thorough knowledge and substantial experience of patternmaking, grading, fitting and production knowhow, we can offer you a challenging position. Teamwork with KappAhl´s Swedish technicians, factories and internal merchandising team where your responsibility is to secure sizes, fit and best technical solutions for our garments.
∎ Our product ranges are: woven, knit, sweater, underwear, lingerie for ladies, men, children and babies.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Secure together with team (Swedish technician, factories & merchandisers) for fit, shape, technical solutions, making and quality on samples based on KappAhl´s requirements and style specifications.
∎ Perform fit sessions on dummies as well as live model.
∎ Responsible for sample approvals on or before deadline.
∎ Develop and support current suppliers concerning fit and samples.
∎ Introduce and develop new suppliers according to KappAhl´s technical/sample procedure.
∎ Identify Suppliers week points and educate in KappAhl quality/making requirements.
∎ Risk analysis of products before production.
∎ By effective communication, work pro-actively for local sample approval and shorter sample lead time, routines, best performance, efficiency and prioritization.
∎ Identify new sustainable ways of working, e.g in technique, material efficiency, reducing samples
∎ Monitor and analyse current and future business environment to make sure work processes, competence, and customer offer ongoing is developed to reach expected results.
∎ Execute responsibility in delegated defined roles and processes.
∎ Goal oriented co-operation with all related colleagues within the organization.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum of 5 years garment technician experience.
∎ Garment production knowhow and experience from factory and buying house/liaison office.
∎ Textile University or equal knowledge earned by previous working experience.
∎ Well experienced of working with overseas buyers.
∎ Ability to work in fast paced work environment both independently and in group.
∎ Good production knowledge, understand new production technique and workman ship
∎ Good material knowledge
∎ Good sewing skills
∎ Education in pattern making
∎ Experience on CAD program or similar
∎ Ability to communicate verbally and written in English Ability to create a good communication and cooperation's together with PO team and BO team
∎ Ability to create and keep a good structure
∎ Strong computer skills.
