Job Context:
∎ Maintaining access to WASH, Shelter, Energy and Self-Reliance services for the Rohingyas in Bangladesh.
∎ The key purpose of this position is to carry out the duties and responsibilities of ‘Technician–Shelter’ to ensure effective implementation of Shelter interventions maintaining the highest possible level of standards and quality by ensuring necessary support to the project and utilizing resources for implementation.
∎ In this circumstance, the organization is looking for a qualified individual to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the Shelter and Site Development Services.
∎ The duration of the contract will be until December 31, 2022.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assess the needs and resources required for shelter and site development activities, plan an appropriate integrated response.
∎ Assemble shelter kits, construction materials or support structures, as specified.
∎ Perform routine shelter maintenance or repairing.
∎ Ensure proper distribution of shelter kits and conducting regular interventions and monitoring.
∎ Regular monitoring of general site infrastructural development (Drainage, Pathway, Stairway, slope stabilization etc.).
∎ Participate in Monitoring and Supervision of the project activities and prepare activity reports.
∎ Assist to plan the activities according to the project document.
∎ Assist to validate the relevance of the intervention area, the selection of beneficiaries, and identification of committed players.
∎ Ensure the project's technical follow-up for his/her component.
∎ Assist to prepare the drawing, design and BoQ of the facilities.
∎ Maintain regular communication with the Wearhouse – in – Charge and monitor the stock and do the need-assessment as per the requirements.
∎ Propose solutions or improvements for better performance of the activities.
∎ Assist to prepare the details work plan for the construction work and implement and to prepare the activity progress reports of the relevant activities.
∎ Prepare monitoring tools according to the project indicators.
∎ Monitor and follow up the volunteers' activities and guide the volunteers for the smooth functioning of the project.
∎ Capacity building for the volunteers, beneficiaries, and the engaged community.
∎ Perform any other related duties or responsibilities that may be assigned by the project team.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 23 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Experience on Construction and Repair & Maintenance.
∎ Minimum one-year professional experience in different shelters and site development at humanitarian context.
∎ Basic computer knowledge on MS office applications, Shelter Management
∎ Good communication and networking skills both in Bangla & English. Fluency in Local language will get preferences.
∎ Female candidate will get preferences.
Salary: Tk. 42089 (Monthly)
