Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Check the passbook of project participants & reconcile with other account-related books/records.
∎ Assist the Project Accountant for day to day-to-day accounting and recording.
∎ Record and post all daily transactions in the books of accounts/accounting software package through proper coding.
∎ Ensure all expenses made are reasonable, accurate and in compliance with the cost principles procedures of the project.
∎ Ensure all expenses are verified in the validity and accuracy of reliable, reasonable and approved by a designated person before payment.
∎ Ensure all accounting source documents are accurately preserved and all financial activities are kept in a true and fair manner.
∎ Prepare a monthly report on all proceeds, contributions, miscellaneous expenditures, advances and income tax, VAT deductions, as required by the management.
∎ Prepare financial reports, budget variance analysis, ensure the fund disbursement issues and handle the funding process as per requirement.
∎ Support in auditing and verification, etc.
∎ DASCOH Foundation is looking for a dynamic Unit Accountant (UA) for “Strengthening the Economic, Social, and Political Participation of Multiply Marginalised Women in Climate Hotspots in Bangladesh” (AGROJATRA) project, supported by the NETZ Partnership for Development and Justice. The details eligibility requirements of the position are as follows;
∎ Job Description/Responsibilities:
