∎ Age at most 45 years
∎ Education qualification may be relaxed for experienced and female candidates;
∎ Minimum 5 years working experience in the development sector, of which at least 2 years work experience in Emergency Response/Resilience and livelihoods development projects, where at least 1 year experience in DRR is a must;
∎ Demonstrated leadership and program development abilities, and strategic thinking;
∎ Able to multi-task, problem solve, and deal with complex relationships and situations;
∎ Fluent in spoken and written Bangla and English, language skills and computer literacy;
∎ Ability to work under stressful situations and meet deadlines;
∎ Experience in community Mobilization;
∎ Experience in linkage and liaison;
∎ Proven experience in working with the line department.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Provide technical support to the project team, capacity building of Field Facilitator of Shock Responsive Social Protection (SRSP), Anticipatory Action Project, Seasonal Livelihood Programming (SLP) and Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) Project, civil society engagement, and other relevant areas.
∎ Beneficiaries survey by door-to-door visit by KOBO software and a prepared database
∎ Coordination and collaboration with local government, upazila, and district-level Govt departments, private sectors, NGOs, civil societies, and relevant partners.
∎ Provide day-to-day operational support to the Field Facilitator, including performance management, capacity building, etc.
∎ Ability to analyze strategic trends and develop appropriate plans and responses to manage crises or risks.
∎ Prepare progress report, success story, and other reports as required by the project.
∎ Day-to-day updated data checking and validating the data according to the software.
∎ Assist in conducting awareness sessions at the community level.
∎ Prepare monthly, quarterly, semi-annual & annual technical and financial reports.
∎ Understanding of Gender and organizational Gender Policy and act accordingly
∎ Ensure timely, effective implementation and delivery of project activities as per the project work plan by ensuring quality and setting strategies and guidelines.
∎ Organize and conduct project studies and evaluations in collaboration with partners and stakeholders
∎ Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the line management.
∎ Job Context: Upazila Coordinator will be responsible for implementing field-level activities, follow-up Field Facilitator activities, monitoring, coaching, Mentoring, community consultation, stakeholder engagement, and contact between RDRS and the program participants. S/he will coordinate and conduct orientation, meetings, and workshops with community people, volunteers, and other stakeholders. Coordinate and provide support to the Project Management, Flood-affected people, UzDMC, UDMC, WDMC, FDMC, etc.
∎ The position is based in the Kurigram District office and has to move upazila/ Union level to all working areas. Upazila Coordinator will assist in project planning, advocacy and networking, resource mobilization, ensuring Flood Insurance Customer selection and processing, and fulfilling the target beneficiaries of Flood insurance within the deadline.
