Educational Requirements:
∎ The candidate should have DVM/ B.Sc. in Veterinary Science & AH and MS in Medicine/ Theriogenology/ Pathology with minimum 2nd division/ class or equivalent result in all academic examinations from any recognized institution.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 1 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Preparation of annual planning of semen production and accordingly breeding bull selection and available in the bull station.
∎ To get optimum production by observation & monitoring good herd health practice by follow the SOP for semen production.
∎ Conduct regular health checkup and disease diagnosis, treatment and prevention of different kind of diseases by following health protocol.
∎ Conduct breeding soundness evaluation and select best breeding bulls for regular semen production. Ensure safe calf delivery and dystocia management in cows, maintain good herd fertility.
∎ Perform routine vaccination, deworming and medication and record keeping of breeding and health related data for further analysis and improvement.
∎ Supervise all relevant shed supervisor’s activities and animal attendants/worker and follow up and monitoring their daily activities.
∎ Report preparation, analysis and share to the respective supervisors. Keep update of all records like bull profile, treatment register, vaccination & deworming register, medicine stock register.
∎ Perform any other task assigned by the supervisor.
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 19 to 35 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Practical work experience in the cattle Breeding Farm/ Bull station/ Dairy farm health management is preferable
∎ Livestock health service to dairy farmer & training facilitation, Good Organizer for health camp & training
∎ Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skill
∎ Sound knowledge on vaccination, medication & biosecurity
∎ Sound knowledge on reproductive system & disease management
∎ Ability to think strategically and carry out assigned tasks independently
∎ Working to high pressure and tight deadlines while at the same time
