Job Context:
∎ We are implementing a multi-year skills development project as part of a joint Initiative of a consortium in the refugee camps of Cox`s Bazar. The project has a target to reach a total of 2,000 participants (50 percent women) for vocational skills training which will be selected across the camps considering the suitability, capacity and availability of home/community facilities for training. The target of 2,000 has been selected according to the prequalification requirement for the vocational training.
∎ The Project ultimately aims to assist refugees to acquire transferable and portable skills relevant to the labour market needs in Myanmar and the camp contexts, that would support sustainable return and integration (in Myanmar) when conditions permit; while enabling refugees to maintain hope for the future and have dignified and productive lives in the camps, including through engagement in multi-sectorial camp-based activities, minor livelihood activities, and community works, with the utilisation of acquired competencies. Accordingly, strategies will be geared towards enhancing skills development, economic and social empowerment, self-reliance of the Rohingya refugees pending durable solutions.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Develop Training Module and Schedule as per requirement of Myanmar National Qualification Framework (MNQF) and/or ASEAN Qualifications Reference Framework (AQRF) on the specific trade
∎ Support training curriculum development and deliver trainings at NSC/Level-1 or 2 equivalents to MNQF or AQRF
∎ Contribute ideas to Centre-In-Charge and Camp Manager for the development and design of new trainings
∎ Facilitate ToT for the relevant staff of the project.
∎ To integrated and aligned with the overall development of new training courses
∎ Develop modules and training manuals in English, for Training Participant and externally
∎ Enrolment of training participants to a specific trade ensuring the prequalification criteria
∎ Facilitates relevant training and skill assessment through certified assessors, and knowledge to determine competence levels
∎ Coordinate with other trainers to ensure all required M&E is completed.
∎ Analyze training needs and feedback on the courses needed for future planning/management information to modify and improve existing programs
∎ To follow up and provide feedback to fellow trainers and support their professional growth
∎ Document and share stories of change
∎ Link former training participants with program/project activities
∎ Any other duties & responsibilities assign by Project Management Unit
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 40 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Demonstrated experience in National Qualification Framework and National Skills Certificate (NSC) are required.
∎ Knowledge on National Skills Standards Authority (NSSA) would be an asset
∎ Experience in NSC course design and assessment through certified assessor
∎ Knowledge of ASEAN Qualifications Reference
∎ Framework would be an asset
∎ Knowledge of Rohingya dialect is desirable
∎ Ability to work independently in a team and manage tasks on a daily basis without supervision
∎ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
∎ Willingness and ability to work in hardship environments
∎ Excellent teamwork, and a proven track record of building trust within and empowering teams
∎ Diplomacy, tact and negotiating skills are essential
∎ Profound management skills in implementing comprehensive organizational development projects
∎ Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation and reporting skills in English and effective interpersonal and negotiation skills, proven through successful interactions with all levels of stakeholder groups.
