Job Context:
∎ Vacancy: 37 (25 Female & 12 Male)
∎ Placement: Rural community of Dinajpur (Parbatipur & Birampur), Bagerhat (Rampal)
∎ Duration: Tentatively from Wednesday, 22"d January 2020 - Saturday, 04th April 2020
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Share cross-cultural experiences with international volunteers coming from the UK.
∎ Work very closely with international volunteers to plan, implement, and evaluate youth lead sexual reproductive health rights and entrepreneurs development action projects in the community.
∎ Support conducting field research needs assessment/social mapping, project design, project planning, organizing event and community action day, monitoring, case study collection, report writing, documentation, implementation, and evaluation of the project.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 18 to 25 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ As per govt. birth certificate the age must be within 18 - 25.
∎ Working level English language proficiency.
∎ Photography and videography and editing skill will be highly appreciated.
∎ Data collection, and research work related experience will get preference.
∎ Report writing, documentation skill on case studies, best practices, field experiences, newsletter, e-bulletins and other IEC materials will be added advantage.
∎ Must be willing to full time stay without any break including all holidays in rural communities of Dinajpur (Parbatipur & Birampur), Bagerhat (Rampal) maximum of 12 weeks as youth volunteer 16 weeks as a team leader. Please note that your placement location will decide by the ICS Team of VSO Bangladesh and that will be a Non-Negotiable subject to discuss further with ICS Team of VSO Bangladesh.
∎ A clear interest in community development and proactive towards the development of marginalized people.
∎ Habituated/interested to reside in remote villages with basic accommodation, food, and other facilities.
Salary:
∎ A cash allowance of BDT 8,000 per month.
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Free of cost basic accommodation with food.
∎ Free of cost medical support and Insurance.
∎ Official travel costs.
∎ VSO Bangladesh Cycle Completion Certificate after completion of the cycle.
∎ ICS Action at Home Certificate signed by British Prime Minister of the British parliament after completion of the Action at Home Project.
