Job Context:
∎ VSO Bangladesh has started Reducing Harmful Traditional Practice (RHTP) project from May 2019 funded by UKAID, bringing together young national volunteers to make a difference in some of the poorest communities in Bangladesh started in Rangpur, Gaibandha. Currently, VSO Bangladesh is estimating to recruit 12 (06 Female and 06 Male), dynamic youth volunteers.
∎ Title & No. of Vacancy: Youth Volunteer-RHTP in total 12 (06 Female and 06 Male).
∎ Placement Location: Anywhere in rural community of Gaibandha and Rangpur.
∎ Duration: Monday, 28th October 2019 - Wednesday, 11th March 2020
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Expert level of proficiency in the English language will be an added value.
∎ Computer literacy in MS office (MS word, Power point and Excel).
∎ Photography and Video editing skill will be highly appreciated.
∎ Data collection, and Research work related experience will get preference.
∎ Report writing, documentation skill on case studies, best practices, field experiences, newsletter, e-bulletins and other IEC materials will be added advantage.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 18 to 35 years
∎ Must be willing to full time stay without any break including all holidays in rural communities of Rangpur, Gaibandha maximum of 05 months as a youth volunteer. Please note that your placement location will decide by RHTP Team of VSO Bangladesh and that will be Non-Negotiable subject to discuss further with RHTP Team of VSO Bangladesh.
∎ A clear interest in community development and proactive towards the development of marginalized people.
∎ Habituated/interested to live in remote villages with basic accommodation, food, and other facilities.
∎ Committed and proactive to work in a diverse multi-cultural team.
∎ Commitment to share experiences with team members and proactive to take actions in the respective local community after completion of the cycle.
Salary:
∎ Cash allowance of BDT 8,000 per month

∎ Official travel costs
∎ Certificate after completion of the cycle
