Job Context:
∎ We are looking for a Dynamic, Enthusiastic & Experience Professional who has very good experience in maintaining Boiler operational work all over the hotel.
∎ As a Boiler Operator, you will be responsible for processing and completing work orders, installing boiler operational systems, troubleshooting mechanical failures, and performing equipment maintenance. You may also be required to advise on equipment upgrades and alternate cooling units.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Operate and maintain high-pressure boilers and auxiliary boiler plant equipment, Centrifugal chillers, towers and related pumps
∎ Boiler water and water tower test and treatment
∎ Monitoring of the facilities utility plant, air handlers, exhaust fans, manufacturing suites, labs, and office wings for temperatures, humidity and pressurization, utilizing the Building Automation System
∎ Ability to analyze problems / failures and respond to restore, repair and or report
∎ Clean water system operation
∎ Maintain daily logs and equipment logs
∎ Will be required to perform maintenance on equipment
∎ Will be responsible for a junior operator/mechanic
∎ Performs other duties as assigned by the Chief Engineer
∎ Operating powerhouse equipment to meet the day-to-day energy demands of the Chrysler manufacturing facility including the production of steam and compressed air at the quantities and specifications required by the manufacturing facility.
∎ Performs routine maintenance of boiler room and incinerator equipment on a scheduled basis
∎ Understands functions and knows how to use all controls and safety devices in the operation of the energy center equipment
∎ Assists evening and shift personnel as required to maintain hotel operations
∎ May be required to serve as backup for shift calls on floors, including tube system
∎ Is available on sight during shift duty for emergency response
∎ Tests water samples from boiler, chillers, closed loop systems, water softeners, condensate and cooling towers
∎ Checks fuel oil tank levels and fires boilers on fuel oil
∎ Uses energy management computer system to control and to monitor the operation of equipment
∎ Inspects the equipment and the operation of the boiler room hourly and other mechanical rooms daily to verify that safety regulations and efficient operations are maintained and record all pertinent data in their respective logbooks
∎ Maintains water levels in boilers domestic hot and cold water tanks.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 28 to 35 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ 4-6 years as a Boiler Operator
∎ Ability to observe and interpret readings on gauges, meters, and charts which register various aspects of boiler operation
∎ Walking, standing, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, working in confined areas, potential exposure to particulates, vapors or noisy environment
∎ Basic knowledge of building steam and HVAC utilities and plant equipment in commercial/industrial facilities that require pressurized steam for proper operation
∎ Knowledge of Building Automation Systems (BAS)
∎ Ability to read and write, and to perform basic mathematical calculations
∎ Knowledge of the operation of large industrial/commercial boilers and chillers
∎ Minimum of 2nd class boiler license strongly preferred
