∎ Must hold a valid professional Bangladeshi driving license.
∎ Certificates of UNDSS safety driving and First Aid training is preferable.
∎ Basic communication in English is a requirement.
∎ Seven (7) years of working experience as Driver with reference.
∎ No major accident in the past 3 years.
∎ Discipline and punctuality.
∎ Resilience, polite and patience.
∎ Team player and can work under pressure.
∎ Familiarity with cities and rural Bangladesh
∎ Appropriate appearance and attire (i.e. possible uniform, friendly manner with all passengers etc).
∎ Willingness to improve skills as required by the tasks to be performed –corresponding measures are agreed with management.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ safely and responsibly performing all official travel using official vehicles
∎ regularly servicing and looking after official vehicles
∎ ensuring all commuting plans, schedule, security instructions, road conditions, accessible routes are known before in and out of town duties.
∎ assist the staff (traveler) in all sorts of security related aspects and report trip incidences without delay.
∎ performing as a messenger as the cluster and its project needs
∎ assisting the logistic staff in organizing workshop, meetings and internal or external events
∎ following the validity of all relevant documents driving license, fitness certificate, vehicle documents and informing the supervisors in case of due dates
∎ provides passenger the required transport as per project instructions.
∎ ensures all official rules and regulations of driving are followed and report unlikely incidences on timely manner.
∎ completes the vehicle log correctly, conscientiously, and in accordance with GIZ standards.
∎ keeps track of private use of office vehicle and submits monthly reports to the supervisor.
∎ ensure dispensing all duties with welcoming and polite manner.
∎ Avoid unnecessary discussion on official or any private matters, conflicting or offensive remarks with any passengers. Keeping confidentiality of information both private and official is the key responsibility and can be considered punishable offence if found guilty.
∎ ensuring all commuting plans, schedule, security instructions, road conditions, accessible routes are known before in and out of town duties.
∎ is responsible to inform any incident and possible clashes while on duty to the supervisor immediately and acts according to the given order/instruction.
∎ in case of security critical satiation, takes instant action according to the GIZ SRM (Security Risk Management) advisory, his/her driving experience, and self-judgment.
∎ uses all available information (including current radio news on traffic conditions) to update daily knowledge. of road conditions, current passable routes and locations.
∎ never change the routes, break rules or act irresponsibly with passengers’ instructions.
∎ cleans the interior and exterior of the vehicle(s) regularly and properly.
∎ keep track of the vehicle maintenance, cleanliness always
∎ ensure the handing over of vehicle to the drivers follow a detailed review of supplies, documents, and accessories.
∎ checks the entire vehicle (i.e. oil, water, breaks, tyre pressure etc) on a regular basis and report of that to the supervisor
∎ is responsible for the project vehicle documents and their good condition.
∎ calculates monthly petrol, oil, and lubricant consumption for the daily cash fund and for forwarding monthly vouchers to cost accounting.
∎ reports the need for services immediately to the supervisor and carries out minor repairs.
∎ immediately reports any unlikely accidents, irrelevant of the minor or major accidents, damage, loss, or theft of vehicle fittings.
∎ maintains the First Aid Kit and other safety instruments that advised from security department in the vehicle.
∎ delivers messages, materials and documents to government offices, other development partners and project offices as well as between GIZ projects, cluster, and Country Office and when required by the office.
∎ assists team in arranging meetings and other event(s) including arrangement of room, refreshment, and other supports.
∎ doing photocopy, scanning and also help team in doing photocopy, binding, etc.
∎ dispatch bills and other documents to relevant department(s) and collect stationeries from store against requisition request as assigned by project.
∎ where appropriate and reasonable, the position holder is willing to perform tasks outside the scope of the job description.

∎ For the team of our “Textile Cluster”, we seek applications for the position “Driver”.
∎ A. Responsibilities
∎ The driver is responsible for

∎ 5. Other Duties / Tasks
∎ If there is no outside driving or on the request of the project, the driver.
∎ assists team in arranging meetings and other event(s) including arrangement of room, refreshment, and other supports.
∎ doing photocopy, scanning and also help team in doing photocopy, binding, etc.
∎ dispatch bills and other documents to relevant department(s) and collect stationeries from store against requisition request as assigned by project.
∎ where appropriate and reasonable, the position holder is willing to perform tasks outside the scope of the job description.
∎ Contract Duration: One (1) Year with possibility of extension
