∎ Eco-Social Development Organization (ESDO) started its journey in 1988 with a noble vision to stand in solidarity with the poor and marginalized. During this long span, ESDO has adapted to the changing situation and provided the most time-bound services, especially for the poor and disadvantaged. A community-focused and people-centered approach has been adopted by ESDO, while consideration was given to the national policy and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as its guiding principle. ESDO is one of the most dynamic organizations expanding its development interventions across 331 Upazilas under 51 districts of Bangladesh, covering over 10 million poor and vulnerable people.
∎ As a ECCD Promotor, you will be responsible for strengthening messages regarding Early Childhood Care and Development given by IYCF counsellor at the facility level to caregivers and beneficiaries attending services in the OTP, TSFP and the BSFP Centre. Also require to engage children aged up to 3 years with different materials and educational toys, puzzles based on their age. Through this activity you will help the children for their development and also explain the caregivers about the benefit of it.
∎ As partnership with UNICEF & WFP, ESDO will implement the Integrated Nutrition Interventions for Malnutrition Treatment and Prevention Project at Rohingya Camp`s Cox`s Bazar district. ESDO is inviting applications from interested qualified candidates for the position.
∎ The project duration is total 08 months started from May 2023.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ In liaison with the Nutrition Supervisor to maintain an oriented schedule for ECCD activities.
∎ Demonstrate children how to play with different materials from ECCD Kit provided by UNICEF Bangladesh.
∎ Engage children in different active task like solving puzzles, drawing which will help them for their motor development.
∎ Strengthening messages regarding ECCD activity given by Counsellor and follow up on these messages.
∎ Support and prepare required weekly and monthly program reports.
∎ Enable a friendly collaborative working culture within the team, actively sharing information and knowledge to enable the team to ensure effective learning and sharing across the team.
∎ Be aware of, understand and comply with all of organization policies and procedures
∎ Undertake other related duties as may reasonably be assigned by the Nutrition Supervisor or project management team.
∎ Be aware of, understand and comply with all of ESDO's policies and procedures
∎ Undertake other related duties as may reasonably be assigned by the line manager.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 45 years
∎ Only females are allowed to apply
∎ Around 1-2 years' progressive experience in a similar/related activity. (For highly technical candidates, experience is considerable)
∎ Technical knowledge on CMAM, IYCF, CMAMI, SBCC and early childhood care and development
∎ Require to knowledgeable on overall Holistic development of children
∎ Having good knowledge on Rohingya refugee programmes will add value.
∎ Demonstrate ability to think and manage strategically, plan and meet deadlines.
∎ Good command and fluency over Rohingya language/Chittagong dialect (Local Dialect)
Salary: Tk. 30000 (Monthly)
