∎ Familiarity with applying INEE Minimum Standards and other relevant frameworks in education in emergencies.
∎ Experience in assessing Education Sector partners' capacities to develop and implement capacity-building plans for quality improvement.
∎ Demonstrable understanding of international humanitarian response and coordination mechanisms.
∎ Knowledge of opportunities for integrated or cross-cutting humanitarian interventions with other sectors and Clusters.
∎ Understanding of initiatives like the World Humanitarian Summit Agenda and the Education Can Not Wait Multi-Year Fund Process.
∎ Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills, along with flexibility and cultural sensitivity, are essential for success in this role.

∎ We are actively seeking an accomplished Education Sector Co-Lead to join our team in Cox’s Bazar, where the incumbent will be at the forefront of orchestrating and enhancing education interventions for Rohingya refugees. In this pivotal role, the incumbent will report directly to the Inter-Sector Coordination Group (ISCG) and collaborate closely with UNICEF, assuming responsibility for co-leading the Education Sector and ensuring a cohesive and impactful response to education needs. These positional duties will encompass coordinating with a wide array of stakeholders, conducting thorough assessments, devising comprehensive sector plans, advocating tirelessly for education priorities, and meticulously monitoring funding opportunities. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding leadership, coordination, communication, and advocacy skills, underpinned by a steadfast dedication to humanitarian principles. This is a unique opportunity to drive positive change and shape the future of education in Cox’s Bazar, empowering Rohingya children with access to quality education and brighter prospects for the future.
∎ In addition to the aforementioned responsibilities, the Education Sector Co-Lead will play a crucial role in capacity building within the sector, assessing technical capacities of sector members and developing tailored capacity development plans to enhance the quality and standardization of the education response. Moreover, the incumbent will foster collaborative and transparent relationships with a diverse range of partners, including national and international NGOs, government agencies, and donor representatives, to ensure alignment and synergy in our collective efforts. As a key advocate for education in Cox’s Bazar, the incumbent will have the opportunity to influence policy, shape strategy, and drive tangible impact, ultimately contributing to the holistic well-being and empowerment of Rohingya communities.
