∎ Bachelor’s degree in accounting, auditing, finance, business administration, or related field and a recognized professional accounting, auditing, or business administration qualification.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum of five years of experience as accountant or finance personnel for an education or development project with a recognized firm or with a reputable international NGO, development contractor, or donor agency.
∎ Excellent written and oral communication in English and Bangla.
∎ Demonstrated experience of at least three years in developing and tracking project budget in a similar type of organization.
∎ Thorough knowledge and understanding of professional accounting principles, theories, practices, and terminology (private sector, governmental and non-profit) and an ability to understand accounting practices and procedures; to analyze data, narrative reports and workload flow charts, etc.
∎ Demonstrated knowledge and experience with USAID regulations and control systems preferred.
∎ Advance level proficiency in MS Office package, STATA and similar software platforms.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Obtaining a comprehensive understanding of project activities, identifying their interdependencies in prioritizing quality and timely program delivery effectively.
∎ Preparing annual, quarterly, and monthly budgets aligned with workplan activities, providing insightful forecasts for project operational expenses.
∎ Working closely with finance and operations team, including COP, DCOP, DFO, senior technical director, MEL director, Sub-awards Manager, and PMU budget focal person, to monitor and track project implementation vis-a-vis approved workplans and budgets.
∎ Assisting project leadership in identifying activities within planned budgets, offering innovative ideas and solutions through regular monitoring of any unspent amount of the budget.
∎ Conducting regular budget analysis, sharing updates weekly with HSEA management via a dashboard, ensuring timely insights into financial performance.
∎ Advising on accurate monthly budget forecasts, analyzing monthly fund requests, and ensuring alignment with project goals and annual budget targets.
∎ Ensuring adherence to policies and procedures of Chemonics Field Office Policy Manual and Field Accounting and Compliance Manual.
∎ Maintaining collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to update project budgets and report to HSEA senior management.
∎ Assisting financial audits of project finance files as needed, with support from the Chemonics Financial Compliance Review team.
∎ Undertaking any other assignments as requested by the finance/operations director.
∎ Job Summary:
∎ Financial Analyst with strong programmatic knowledge will provide strategic guidance on budget forecasting, expenditure, and programmatic activities interdependence. This role will collaborate closely with the project leadership to ensure proper expenditure and alignment with project goals and budgets.
