Job Description
Al Noor & Makka Eye Hospital is seeking an experienced, professional, and patient-focused Counselling Officer for its Front Desk team. The ideal candidate must have previous work experience in an eye hospital, hospital, or healthcare organization and be willing to work at any branch of Al Noor & Makka Eye Hospital, as assigned by management.
Key Responsibilities
Welcome patients and visitors and provide professional front-desk assistance.
Counsel patients regarding hospital services, consultation procedures, and available treatment options.
Guide patients through registration, appointments, diagnostic tests, and consultation processes.
Explain treatment procedures and hospital services clearly and courteously.
Coordinate with doctors, nurses, receptionists, and other hospital departments to ensure smooth patient flow.
Handle patient inquiries, complaints, and concerns professionally.
Maintain patient records and ensure accurate documentation while protecting patient confidentiality.
Assist patients and their families with information about treatment costs and hospital procedures.
Support appointment scheduling, patient follow-ups, and coordination.
Maintain a professional, helpful, and patient-friendly environment at the front desk.
Perform other duties assigned by management.
Job Requirements
Mandatory: Previous professional work experience as a Counselling Officer, Front Desk Officer, Patient Care Officer, or in a similar role in an eye hospital, hospital, or healthcare organization.
Candidates without relevant prior hospital or healthcare experience should NOT apply.
Excellent communication, patient counselling, and interpersonal skills.
A professional, courteous, and patient-focused attitude.
Ability to handle patients and their attendants with patience, empathy, and professionalism.
Basic computer skills and the ability to maintain patient records.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple patient inquiries efficiently.
Strong coordination, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
Willingness to work at any branch of Al Noor & Makka Eye Hospital when required by management.
