∎ Minimum 05 years of relevant professional experience in the relevant field at the national or international level in Gender mainstreaming and women and girls’ empowerment, ideally within the education context.
∎ Experience designing, monitoring, and evaluating gender mainstreaming projects in development contexts.
∎ Experience in collaborating with various stakeholders/networks/ ministries to implement gender responsive approach.
∎ Fluent in written and spoken English and Bangla.
∎ Ability to deliver creative, innovative work, involving cross-team collaboration, within a tight deadline.
∎ Strong knowledge of human rights and gender justice.
∎ Demonstrated ability to develop and implement gender responsive programs, using gender mainstreaming tools across project cycles.
∎ Commitment to promoting equality and challenging gender stereotypes.
∎ Excellent computer operating skills, including MS Office packages, large Data Management software and tools.
∎ Self-motivated, adaptable, team player and passion for social development works.
∎ Ability and willingness to travel.
∎ Age limit for the applicant would be 40 years. Management has the right to make exception based on qualifications and experiences.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ To contribute implementing UCEP Bangladesh’s values, vision, mission and goals, and development of future strategy documents as needed.
∎ To contribute to developing GE strategy and implementing high-impact gender equality across the activities.
∎ Collaborate with other project staff stakeholders, and partners to deliver far-reaching results and impact in line with project expectations.
∎ To support a dynamic team to implement GAC funded project aimed at improving the enabling environment for gender-responsive vocational education and skills development ecosystem in UCEP Bangladesh.
∎ Coordinate, manage, and ensure quality delivery of day-to-day project activities related to gender equality.
∎ Technical guidance for gender equality and inclusion in the project activities, including Gender Based Assessment+ (GBA+), Gender Action Plan, baseline surveys, and Training.
∎ Maintain regular communication and coordination with project Manager and with related Project focal.
∎ Coordinate, design and facilitation of women’s empowerment and gender training for project staff, partners, and other key stakeholders.
∎ To contribute to plan and organize various workshops/seminars, dialogue with relevant stakeholders (government agencies, private sectors, employers, donor agencies, NGOs etc.) for advocating Gender Equality, child rights, SRHR, MHM, CEFM, and GBV to create enabling safe work environment for the young women, PWDs, third gender.
∎ Build linkage with child protection service providers and develop referral mechanism (Government, NGOs, community leaders) through Organize meeting/ workshops.
∎ To contribute to plan, design and guide for implementation of different awareness activities/events/campaign at HO and regional level involving media and different type of stakeholders.
∎ Provide technical support to regions for arranging different awareness program on gender equality and empowerment of girls and women, Child Rights, SRHR, MHM, CEFM and GBV of all staff, partners/vendors and other stakeholders (parents/guardians of students, community leaders, employers of UCEP graduates).
∎ Collaborate with M & E and program staff to ensure monitoring systems appropriately capture gender outcomes, monitor potential unintended consequences, and assist program staff and partners to take corrective action, as needed.
∎ Ensure gender sensitive performance indicators are in place and GESI outcomes are measured throughout the life of the project.
∎ Work with communication team to integrate gender content into communication materials (IEC/BCC) on gender equality (GE), Child Rights, SRHR, MHM, CEFM and GBV.
∎ Visit the field offices and selected communities to gain adequate knowledge of opportunities and constraints, and monitor, support, and supervise gender integration activities.
∎ Contribute to project deliverables including progress reports, work plan, prepare budget and others.
∎ Review activity plans and outputs to inform improved GESI mainstreaming in activity planning and implementation.
∎ Liaison with GoB stakeholders at national and local level to help align project activities with national priorities and SGDs Goal 5 to end all forms of discrimination against women and girls and identify opportunities for coordination.
∎ Identify and synthesize best practices and lessons learned and develop success story.
∎ Develop training module on gender, ToR and guidelines for awareness activities/events.
∎ Advise and mentor staff and conduct gender awareness training sessions and freshers workshops focusing on gender-based constraints and opportunities in the different regions.
∎ To promote and contribute to ongoing efforts towards gender equity & equality, child/staff protection & safeguard, inclusiveness, accessibility and discrimination free environment in the workplace and operations/activities/plans.
∎ To maintain strict confidentiality of information, documents, and other internal and external communications.
∎ To carry out any other relevant tasks assigned by the authority as and when necessary.

∎ UCEP Bangladesh, a leading non-governmental organization, founded by New Zealand philanthropist Mr. Lindsey Allan Cheyne in 1972 has been playing significant role in shaping the lives of thousands of underprivileged children and youth across the country since 1972. With the motto “Help to learn, Skills to Earn”, UCEP Bangladesh provides Life Skills Technical Education, Technical and Vocational Education & Training (TVET), Skills Development and Decent Employment opportunities to underprivileged, women, youth, PWDs and indigenous people. Annually, around 35,000 students are educated by vocational training and technical education through our 36 Technical schools, 12 TVET Institutes, 08 technical outreach centers, and 02 polytechnics.
∎ UCEP Bangladesh has been working in all 08 divisions in Bangladesh through its 08 regions including Dhaka (North & South), Gazipur, Chattogram, Sylhet, Rajshahi, Rangpur, Khulna, Barishal, Patuakhali, Cox’s Bazar.
∎ Job Purpose: To contribute to create a gender-responsive vocational education and skills development ecosystem in UCEP Bangladesh through GAC funded GRiVET project at Head Office and Regional level in line with UCEP Bangladesh’s values, vision, mission, goals and relevant country laws.
∎ Job Responsibilities:
