∎ Negotiate with suppliers to minimize cost, and lead time, and ensure a quality product and time supplies.
∎ Good communication & presentation skills.
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Job Context
∎ We are looking for a GM/DGM of Procurement to head the entire Procurement & Planning function. Individual with professional experience of minimum 08+ years in Procurement preferably in the Garments & Textiles industry.
∎ Job Responsibilities·
∎ To perform all procurement activities including pre-qualification, negotiating supplier agreements, and preparation of contracts.·
∎ To liaise with key company employees/departments to determine their product and service needs.·
∎ To lead the Local Procurement Team and develop procurement strategies to procure the best quality product/ service with a competitive price, within an affordable lead time.·
∎ To develop strong relationships with business stakeholders and strategic supply partners to improve business.·
∎ To oversee operations and daily activities of the purchasing department. Assigning responsibilities and overviewing the team's performance.·
∎ Interface actively with the Finance team to ensure that procurement practices meet all control and reporting objectives. Coordinate with the entire team as well as related development like merchandising, utility, maintenance, store, production, accounts, and audit.·
∎ To asses of vendor performance data on various performance metrics for sustainable supply and cost improvement.
