∎ CIMMYT is looking for an outstanding, self-motivated, young dynamic and result-oriented professional for the position of HR Assistant, to work with the Sustainable Agrifood Systems program.
∎ The HR Assistant will report to HR Coordinator, CIMMYT Bangladesh.
∎ The location of this position will be CIMMYT - Bangladesh Dhaka Office.
∎ The position is for Bangladesh Nationals for an initial fixed-term contract of 1-year with 3 months probationary period, which further employment is subject to performance and the continued availability of funds.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Support all internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests.
∎ Maintain digital and electronic records of employees.
∎ Assist with the recruitment process by identifying candidates, performing reference checks, and issuing employment contracts.
∎ Maintain calendars of the HR management team.
∎ Assist with performance management procedures.
∎ Schedule meetings, interviews, HR events and maintain agendas.
∎ Coordinate training sessions and seminars.
∎ Perform orientations and update records of new staff.
∎ Coordinate and prepare reports on general HR activity.
∎ Manage all staff leave tracker and Short-Term staffs Insurance.
∎ Complete termination paperwork and exit interviews.
∎ Keep up to date with the latest HR trends and best practices.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 2 years of experience in HR departments.
∎ Exposure to labor law and employment equity regulations.
∎ Effective HR administration and people management skills.
∎ Full understanding of HR functions and best practices.
∎ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
∎ Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
∎ Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office, and related business and communication tools.
∎ Fantastic organizational and time management skills.
∎ Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
∎ Meticulous attention to detail.
∎ Ability to accurately follow instructions.
∎ The selected candidate should exhibit the following competencies: Critical and Creative Thinking, Problem Solving and Decision Making, Teamwork, Self-motivated and inspired to work for outcomes. Proactive and better engagement and Communication.
