∎ Minimum 3 years' job experience and at least 02 years' experience in similar functions in reputed non-governmental organizations (NGO).
∎ Age bellow or equal to 40 years; age limit may be relaxed for the competent candidates. Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Bangla are desirable.
∎ Excellent facilitation, communication and interpersonal skills.
∎ Having mentality to work in humanitarian response and willingness to work with under pressure. Minimum 02 year(s) in NGO/INGOs/ Development Project/Govt. Relevant Project etc. Having mentality to stay in project areas. Local candidates will be given priority.
∎ Preference will be given to those having previous clinical experience in emergency response and maternal and child healthcare. Previous experience on MCH care and training in gender-based violence and clinical care for sexual assault survivors are highly desirable
∎ Persons with disability are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Provide immediate medical care to the patients and refer to the most appropriate medical facility in a timely manner
∎ Deliver hygiene promotion, health education and patient caregiver counseling in coordination with the project team
∎ Ensure adherence to infection prevention and take necessary control measures
∎ Ensure appropriate stock of essential equipment & medical supplies to meet emergency need
∎ Maintain strict confidentiality about the patients and conducted all consultations in a dignified and respectful manner
∎ Ensure the referrals are being implemented in line with JNUS and UN Women principles
∎ Ensure regular inventory and tracking of medical equipment, drugs, and supplies
∎ Work with the project team for ensuring availability of medical equipment and supplies
∎ Maintain professional relations with team members, promoting a strong team spirit and provide mentorship to other colleagues
∎ Support the project team in providing health promotion, community mobilization and awareness raising
∎ Prepare work plans and report to the Project Manager
∎ Ensure proper documentation of the patient consultations and submit reports in a timely manner
∎ Develop and maintain effective working relationships with local communities, local government agencies and other relevant stakeholders
∎ Liaise with service providers for ensuring smooth operations and effective referrals
∎ Identify concerns related to program implementation and share with the project team.
∎ Work with relevant stakeholders including humanitarian actors and communities/ leaders for better coordination and support.
∎ Be sympathized to the patients and listen to their voices and treat them accordingly
∎ Consistently and dedicatedly monitor/assess the safety and security of the team, volunteers and project participants
∎ Report concerns or incidents to the Project Manager and project team promptly and recommends mitigation measures for improved services
∎ Works closely with JNUS operations staff for ensuring timely and compliant program implementation
∎ Ensures all activities are carried out in accordance with JNUS policies and procedures.
∎ Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor to enable or develop JNUS programming
∎ Job Overview/Summary: The Paramedic will be responsible for supporting the project through proving emergency medical care support and referral services in the Rohingya Refugee Camps and host communities. She will ensure the delivery of high quality emergency referral activities including obstetric emergency stabilization, mass casualty response, emergency response and trauma stabilization. She will manage emergency maternal and neonatal healthcare problems and detection of obstetric emergencies. She will provide health promotion and counseling to patients and caregivers in coordination with the project team. She will ensure emergency referral services are implemented in conformity with international standards. She will ensure timely and accurate recording of patient information in relevant patient registers/ MEAL system and facilitate the timely submission of reports. She will work in collaboration with other project staff.
