Educational Requirements:
∎ Master of Science (MSc) in Public Health, Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery(MBBS) in Medicine, Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Medicine, Master of Science (MSc)
∎ A Graduate Degree (Masters equivalent) in Public Health, Medicine (MBBS), Epidemiology; or other relevant discipline.
Experience Requirements:
∎ 5 to 10 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
Epidemiology, Government project, public health
Job Responsibilities:
∎ A minimum of 5 years (5 years is minimum and persons of higher experience are also desirable) relevant experience in the health sector, preferably with good knowledge of government health sector and health programs, and with the following expertise:
∎ A strong knowledge of epidemiology and programmatic interventions related to public health. In-depth knowledge of Tuberculosis (TB) is essential and knowledge of other disease programs (especially Malaria, HIV, Hepatitis) would be an added advantage.
∎ Ability to interpret performance results of health programs and analyse the implications of such results in the country context.
∎ Strong understanding of public health monitoring and evaluation systems, especially in the above-mentioned disease programs.
∎ Understanding of the dimensions of health service quality and familiarity with reviewing and interpreting national service delivery guidelines.
∎ Strong interpersonal skills and tactfulness to effectively communicate with senior level officials, multiple stakeholders and professionals from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds; and
∎ Strong professional oral communication and writing skills, including the development of reports, oral presentations, and technical/persuasive documents.
