Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Develop an effective inquiry plan by studying the assigned complaint letter, assessing risks, creating a checklist, and preparing questionnaires, documents, or evidence.
∎ Communicate with the respective person/management to get necessary support during the inquiry.
∎ Conduct an inquiry following the procedure and guidelines, including HRPP and associated policies, with confidentiality to find the facts.
∎ Conduct interviews with relevant individuals/witnesses and maintain written records including dates and signatures from both parties while adhering to due process.
∎ Ensure objectivity, the inquiry will conclude by collecting statements from relevant witnesses and evidence/documents.
∎ Prepare a draft inquiry report and send it to the review team for conducting the review hearing session.
∎ Assist the review team in drafting a show cause notice as per findings and send it to the subject of a complaint to ensure their right to a hearing during the review process.
∎ Present a high-quality final report to the manager within the given time limit, for showcasing in the SGMC forum.
∎ Attend the SGMC forum and actively present inquiry findings with evidence/documents for making proper decisions by the forum members.
∎ Play a significant role in the successful conduction of Ombudsperson’s hearing.

∎ JOB PURPOSE
∎ This person will be responsible in conducting inquiries into various programs while adhering to the BRAC Inquiry Guidelines, BRAC HRPP, Safeguarding Policy, Prevention of Sexual Harassment Exploitation & Abuse (PSHEA), and other related policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs). The objective is to produce high-quality reports that align with BRAC's values and contribute to the organization's goals.

∎ SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES
∎ Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
