Job Context:
∎ CWFD emerged from an emotional response to help women in need of reproductive health care counseling. The organization, originally named as "Concerned Women for Family Planning (CWFP), started its voluntary activities in 1974 to help the refuge coming to Dhaka city after the devastating famine of 1974. The organization was registered in 1975 with Directorate of Social welfare and formally launched its project activities in 1976 with only 5 female staff to cover an area of Dhaka city slum comprising around 50,000 people. ∎ Mission Statement: CWFD is a non-political, non-profit voluntary organization run by women of Bangladesh to support, promote and protect the interest of women in Bangladesh by providing community-based health care, empower community to exercise their rights to eliminate social injustice, creating economic opportunities, empower under privileged youth of urban and rural population and develop human resources for a positive social change.
∎ Project background: Concerned Women for Family Development receive funds from United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) to implement Generation Breakthrough Project: Phase-II `Improving the Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights including Maternal, Newborn and Adolescent Health in Bangladesh (ImSRHRMNAH,B)`. This project aims to address gender- based violence (GBV) in Bangladesh by establishing linkages to adolescents` sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and gender equity, with a focus on engaging boys and girls improving relationship building skills. As a part of delivering adolescent friendly health services, `Improving Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights including maternal and new born health in Bangladesh` project create linkage for tele-counseling and referral services to different service providers on sexual and reproductive health and gender-based violence. The primary target groups of this helpline and adolescent friendly health service are adolescents aged 10-19 years.
∎ Similarly, CWFD working with UNFPA for the national humanitarian response, the A&Y programme unit of UNFPA is receive funds from New Zealand (NZA28) for the Rohingya refugee response, were included to initiate the implementation of the "Expanding the Generation Breakthrough Programme for Rohingya Adolescents and Youth in the context of the Myanmar Curriculum Pilot" namely the contextualization, adaptation, and translation for the Rohingya refugee context of the two SRHR related board games developed as part of the Generation Breakthrough.

∎ Job Duration: Up to 31 December 2021 and maybe extended depending on availability of fund.
∎ Job Summary: The Technical Officer is responsible for implementation of activities in the Rohingya camps. He will closely work with the consultant and will be involved in translate the game boards "`Dos Unisher Mor`` and ``Hard Brake`` in to English and Burmese language. He/She will provide support to maintain coordination with respective school/madrasa teachers, health service providers and local elected bodies of the operational areas.
∎ The Technical Officer will work under the direct supervision of the Project Coordinator. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring the implementation of quality program interventions. The Technical Officer will maintain coordination and liaison with all the project stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Planning and implementation project activities.
∎ Prepare monthly work plan of the assigned responsibilities based on project work plan.
∎ Closely work with the consultant who will work in the Rohingya camp.
∎ Discuss with the adolescent of the Rohingy camps on health messages.
∎ Promote Rohingya Alapon Helpline in the Rohingya Camp.,
∎ Provide Health Education service in the Rohinga Camp.
∎ Promote Alapon Helpline numbers in the Rohingy camps so that they can seek tele counseling service from the Alapon Helpline.
∎ Create opportunity for adolescents and young people of the camp so that they can get support for tele counseling service.
∎ Assist Consultant for translating Game Board "Dos Unisher Mor and Hard Brake''.
∎ Assist Consultant in translating Game Boards "Dos Unisher Mor and Hard Brake'' in English and Burmese Language.
∎ Assist consultant to work in the camp and help to understand the language of the Rohingya community.
∎ Work as per guidance of consultant in the Rohingya camps.
∎ Monthly and periodical reporting
∎ Prepare monthly report on the activities implemented.
∎ Share learning and challenges in working in the Rohingya Community.
∎ Document case stories and success stories of the Rohingya camps.
∎ Coordination among all stakeholders at the field levels.
∎ Establish and maintain liaison/coordination with the GO, NGO, school teachers, Community groups, Health service providers.
∎ Create linkage between service seekers and service providers in the community on health and gender-based violence

Additional Requirements:
∎ Experienced candidates of Adolescents Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights and Gender Based Violence will be given preference. Should have experience in community mobilization, communication, liaison and collaborating with the Health Service Providers of GOs and NGO, report preparation at the different stage of the project; good communication skills willing to work in the grass root level good understanding about rural community, its dynamics, power structure and development issues; sensitive to the needs and conditions of women and children.
∎ Line of responsibility: The Technical Officer is directly reportable to the Field Manager.

Salary:
∎ BDT 25,800/- per month (including all other benefits).
