Assistant Manager - Planning

Candidates with relevant professional training in production planning and control will receive preference.

Strong knowledge of production planning and control (PPC).

Good understanding of handbag, bag, and luggage manufacturing processes.

Ability to prepare production plans based on order quantity, capacity, lead time, and shipment dates.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and production planning/reporting systems.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight shipment deadlines.

Good leadership skills and a proactive, result-oriented mindset.

Knowledge of EPZ factory operations and export compliance requirements will be an added advantage.

Prepare monthly, weekly, and daily production plans based on confirmed orders, shipment schedules, and customer requirements.

Develop order-wise production plans from sample approval and material readiness through bulk production and final shipment.

Coordinate with Merchandising, Procurement, Warehouse, IE, Cutting, Stitching, Assembly, Finishing, Quality, and Shipping departments.

Monitor production progress against planned targets and take corrective action to minimize delays.

Ensure effective utilization of manpower, machinery, production lines, and factory capacity.

Follow up on raw materials, accessories, packaging materials, and other production inputs to ensure timely availability.

Analyze production bottlenecks, line capacity, lead time, WIP, and order status to ensure smooth production flow.

Prepare and maintain daily production reports, order tracking reports, capacity plans, shipment forecasts, and management reports.

Coordinate with the IE team to improve productivity, line balancing, efficiency, and production lead time.

Monitor critical orders and prepare recovery plans to achieve shipment deadlines.

Maintain effective communication with internal departments to ensure timely execution of export orders.

Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce wastage, improve efficiency, and optimize production costs.

Ensure compliance with company policies, buyer requirements, and applicable EPZ rules and procedures.
