Educational Requirements:
∎ Master in Social Science, Law, Business administration with PGD in related subject
∎ Preferred Professional Certification: NGO Compliance Management,CCIC code of ethics,Canadian Accounting Standards for NonProfits
∎ Training/Trade Course: Sphere standards,Core Humanitarian Standards,Code of Conduct for International Red Cross Red Crescent
∎ Skills Required: Computer skill, Interpersonal Skills, Leadership and Good Communication skill.

∎ 5 to 7 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): national /international NGOs.
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): NGO

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Compliance Officer will ensuring compliance with donor and regulatory requirements, related policies and procedures and applicable statutory (government) requirements. Sh/e will work with key stakeholders to ensure compliance processes meet requirements and any gaps or weaknesses are identified and improved, and the best practices are adopted;
∎ Work with Counterparts, BNM Board and Management to contribute for the development of the required compliance policies. Review and update policies periodically and present them to the BNM board for approval;
∎ Assess risk - identify high and moderate risk activities. (risk of abuse, exploitation, etc.) Identify current gaps in standards/policy compliance and develop a plan to address those gaps. Review the plan with concern authorities;
∎ Access or develop training resources and conduct staff capacity building training;
∎ Develop, review and update tools to help staff with compliance -checklists, forms, templates for reporting, etc;
∎ Follow-up the staff regularly to ensure the compliance with the standards;
∎ Work with the various departments on compliance with operational standards - developing appropriate policies and procedures to fill any gaps (non- compliance);
∎ Dialogue with beneficiaries in all project sites to determine whether they have been properly informed of their rights and protection issues;
∎ Act as BNM "focal point" for the protection of the vulnerable that we serve -from all kinds of abuse including sexual abuse and exploitation;
∎ Any other task assigned by authority.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 50 years
∎ Only females are allowed to apply
∎ non-profit/non-governmental sector, preferably with an international development or humanitarian agency organization;
∎ Relevant knowledge of standards and experience working on compliance issues;
∎ Good command both in English & Bangla;
∎ Require knowledge of using personal computers including Microsoft Office Application (mandatory) and MIS and various digital tracking systems;
∎ Knowledge of Sphere standards,Core Humanitarian Standards, Canadian Accounting Standards for Non-Profits, CCIC code of ethics, Code of Conduct of International Red Cross/Red Crescent, PSEAH standards 6 and 8 ISCH standards;
∎ Ability to work collaboratively across the departments to provide efficient, effective and proactive compliance supports

Salary: Tk. 35000 - 40000 (Monthly)
