Responsibilities & Context
* Inspect, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot sewing machines and other production machinery.
* Conduct preventive and routine maintenance of machines according to the maintenance schedule.
* Identify machine faults and take appropriate corrective action to minimize downtime.
* Install, adjust, and set up machines according to production requirements.
* Ensure machines are properly adjusted before starting production.
* Maintain records of machine maintenance, repair, breakdown, and replacement of spare parts.
* Coordinate with Production and Engineering departments regarding machine-related issues.
* Check machine safety guards and other safety features and report unsafe conditions.
* Replace defective parts and ensure proper functioning of repaired machines.
* Monitor machine performance and recommend necessary maintenance or replacement.
* Maintain adequate stocks of essential machine spare parts and accessories, as assigned.
* Follow applicable safety procedures while performing maintenance and repair work.
* Support production teams during machine breakdowns and urgent maintenance requirements.
