Job Context:
∎ Name of Project: “Comprehensive Initiative for Strengthening the Capacity of the Vulnerable Communities in the Flood Prone Areas in Sirajganj District of Bangladesh”.
∎ Duration of Project: 23 Months (February 2022 to December 2023)
∎ Supported by: Oxfam in Bangladesh
∎ Funded by: Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Develop project operational guidelines for smooth implementation of the project.
∎ Prepare Monthly, quarterly, and half-yearly plans of the project.
∎ Ensure timely and quality implementation of project activities, and Monitor and track the achievement of overall project objectives.
∎ In accordance with the project policies and strategies, implement the planned activities in the operational areas to ensure the achievement of project objectives
∎ Establish and maintain liaison/coordination with the local administration at the District, Upazila level, UPs, and Community level for the smooth operation of the project activities.
∎ Maintain regular communication with the local administration and LG for the smooth operation of the program activities under the assigned area.
∎ Ensure supervision and performance review of all staff.
∎ Identify deficiency of staff and need assessment.
∎ Provide training/orientation/coaching for the respective program.
∎ Monitor and control budget performance and make necessary Revisions/adjustments.
∎ Ensure local purchases and expenditures as per MMS policies.
∎ Effective coordination with different stakeholders to ensure Smooth and effective functions of field office management in all aspects.
∎ Ensure project implementation strategy/policy in all aspects.
∎ Verify Project financial report and submit it on time on a monthly, quarterly, bi-annual, and annual basis.
∎ Planning, designing, and conducting the orientation/training/workshop as planned.
∎ Develop Training Module, Schedule
∎ Ensure that the training modules and materials are in place and used properly, and training activities are undertaken in a qualitative way.
∎ Undertake the monitoring activities by the respective staff and undertake corrective measures as per monitoring findings
∎ Monitored the field activity and finding sharing with Field staffs.
∎ Participate in disaster preparedness, contingency planning, and response activities during the emergencies
∎ Ensure staff supervision, appropriate guidance to the front line staff to achieve Project and as well as organization goal.
∎ Fulfill the demand of donor requirements (Oxfam in Bangladesh) at any cost.
∎ Facilitate to rack proper documentation and systemic analysis as per project need by the project staff
∎ Ensure/ preparation of all periodic reports on implementation.
∎ Prepare monthly, quarterly, half yearly and annual report, field visit report, monitoring report etc.
∎ Ensure proper documentation of all field activities, all reports, project and organization
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 45 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ 5 years' experience on supervision or project management
∎ Experience in humanitarian and/or development programs.
∎ Exeperience about WASH, CFW & CTP.
∎ Experience of working in Char land areas is highly desirable
∎ Experience of working in Oxfam Funded Project would be preferable.
Salary: Tk. 50000 (Monthly)
