∎ B.Sc / Diploma in Textile Engineering from any reputed University.
∎ Education might be relaxed those have good practical experience.
∎ Preference will be given those have textile background.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 6 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
Fabric development, Fabric Manufacturing, Fabric Quality, Fabric Sourcing
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
Garments
Job Responsibilities:
∎ To advise the best fabric routes for Yarn, Knit Dyeing, Finishing and Printing Route along with washing if required as well as supply chain and help factory bases to understand and execute the task keeping the required sustainable standard.
∎ To share sustainability goals and follow up with suppliers.
∎ Source fabrics with responsible fibers like recycled polyester, recycled nylon, recycled acrylic, BCI, recycled & organic cotton, branded viscose, etc. Switching existing fabrics to sustainable fabrics, Review the credentials like GRS, GOTS, OCS branded polyester, etc.
∎ To advise fabric mill the standard and required sets of test methods and sub-programs at the base bulk, and products stage.
∎ To help/advise approved lab/ new labs process.
∎ To advise design and development team with fabric technical/technological decision for day-to-day development business.
∎ Following up bulk quality and shade continuity in lab/dip, strike/offs, bulk, and product reports, and sample stage.
∎ Risk assesses fabric quality in development stage, work with garment to review fabric performance on samples & wearer trials. Troubleshoot any issues related to fabric quality.
∎ To producing samples, dyeing and printing textiles
∎ To ensuring that products meet set requirements and specifications (e.g., color fastness, durability etc.)
∎ To check the fabric as per buyer AQL & check with buyer/sourcing team/factory head if fabric fails with over defect/CSV.
∎ To have sound knowledge on 4-point inspection system, Wash shade, Marker type. fabrics shade Grouping, fabrics shrinkage, side to side & side to center shade variation identification.
∎ Any other task assigns by the management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 48 years
∎ Preference will be given for those candidates having experience in fabrics technologist in Garments, Textiles & Buying House Operation.
∎ Must have good computer skill.
