∎ ROLE PURPOSE:
∎ HEKS/EPER ensures gender, safeguarding and inclusion are fundamental principles for implementation and management of all programs/projects. The post holder is accountable for ensuring gender, safeguarding and inclusions are being respected at all levels of projects/programs and the organization through implementation of organizational policies, procedures and systems.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ KEY ROLE:
∎ Take charge of development and implementation of of HEKS/EPER Gender and Safeguarding strategy for Humanitarian Aid Office (HAO) in Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh
∎ Provide technical guidance to the programme teams to ensure that the gender and safeguarding issues are being mainstreamed in project cycle management
∎ Develop and facilitate gender and safeguarding training for program, admin, finance and HR teams to build their capacities.
∎ Review programme proposals, workplans, reports, outcomes, results and provide recommendations to ensure gender transformative humanitarian actions.
∎ Work together with program and monitoring teams to design and implement gender transformative indicators and support the teams to monitor and make appropriate measures to realize expected results.
∎ Support HR teams to ensure safe recruitment as well as gender and safeguarding aspects are incorporated into job descriptions including supporting project managers to team performance apprisal
∎ Support logistics team to ensure that gender and safeguarding aspects are being incorporated into all procurement contracts.
∎ Capture lessons learned, produce reports, case studies and success stories to share across the organization as well as use them as advocacy tool.
∎ Represent HEKS as gender and safeguarding focal point internally and externally. This includes participate in internal and external meetings, training, workshops and other relevant events.
∎ Ensure establishment and promotion of safeguarding culture across the organization. This includes development and execution of Complaint Response Mechanism in the country.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Working experience in a similar function in Gender and Safeguarding area is a must
∎ Minimum 4 years experience in national or international organization in the humanitarian field especially. Working experience in refugee context is an advantage.
∎ Excellent computer skills

∎ Language:
∎ Excellent communication skills (written, and verbal) in English and Bangla
∎ Personal requirements:
∎ Willingness to undertake frequent travels
∎ High adaptability, flexibility and stress-management
∎ Respect for HEKS/EPER mission and values
∎ Capable to work independently
∎ Ability to work strategically with multiple stakeholders and diverse team
Salary:
∎ Remuneration Packages BDT 125,576-130,315 gross with another benefit as per HEKS HR policy
