Job Context:
∎ The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), established in 1863, works worldwide to provide humanitarian help for people affected by conflict and armed violence and to promote the laws that protect victims of conflict. As an independent and neutral organization, its mandate stems essentially from the Geneva Conventions of 1949. Based in Geneva, Switzerland, it employs around 20,000 people in 100 countries; it is financed mainly by voluntary donations from Governments, National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. The ICRC Dhaka delegation is now looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated and motivated person for the following position:

∎ Movement Cooperation Coordinator is the delegation`s focal point for coordinating between the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movements (the Movement) and works closely with the delegation`s management to develop its Movement cooperation strategy and provides regular analysis of Movement dynamics and trends that could impact the ICRC`s operations.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Is a member of the delegation's management team and takes part in setting its operational strategy by promoting and clarifying the strategic role of the National Society (and other Movement components) and their respective capacities.
∎ Guides the development of joint procedures and operational partnership arrangements and enhances the partnership skills of the delegation's management and staff.
∎ Oversees risk-management and accountability activities related to Movement partnerships.
∎ Ensures that operational partnership objectives and the ICRC's overall input and strategies in relation to capacity-building of National Society's Development and the Safer Access Framework so that the skills development and sustainability of the National Society are enhanced.
∎ Fosters a common strategy among Movement partners for supporting the National Society, particularly regarding integrity, revisions to legal basis and statutes, protection of the emblem/campaigns for correct use of the emblem and development/revision of laws on the emblem.
∎ Develops and maintains a comprehensive overview of the Movement's activities, capacity and affairs; advises the Head of Delegation and other ICRC staff on the ICRC's position within the Movement, relationship management and coordination activities.
∎ Guides the delegation in finding proper models for Movement cooperation in terms of leadership, operational coordination, communications, fundraising and security management.
∎ Supports the National Society in its analysis of external stakeholders and advises, as appropriate, on decisions whether to form operational agreements with them.
∎ Promotes and applies an Inclusive Response Approach in Bangladesh internally and externally.
∎ Ensures regular engagement and dialogue with National Society management for the partnership, including annual planning and review.
∎ Contributes to Movement coordination (Country Coordination Team) and any technical working groups; Movement reporting; participates in and supports the strengthening of the coordination mechanisms led by the National Society in line with the Movement Coordination for Collective Impact Agreement.
∎ Supports and advises other colleagues in the delegation whose work involves working within the Movement.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Excellent command (written and spoken) of English
∎ Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite, SharePoint
∎ 6 years professional experience in international humanitarian sector
∎ At least overall 2 years' experience within Red Cross Movement component (National Society/ IFRC and/or ICRC)
∎ Professional experience in program and risk management
∎ Personal qualities for the position:
