Job Context:
∎ PORTWEST, Ireland a leading global manufacturer of safety wear, workwear and PPE is currently seeking applications for the position of a Senior DevOps Engineer to be based in Cumilla Export Processing Zone, Bangladesh. Portwest is one of the fastest growing workwear companies in the world currently employing over 4600 staff worldwide, with customer service staff in over 130 countries. We design, manufacture, and distribute market leading workwear, safety wear and PPE in fully owned production facilities.
∎ OFFICE TIME:2.00pm to 10.00pm, Monday to Friday (follow the office time of Ireland)
∎ WEEKEND: Saturday & Sunday
Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Senior DevOps Engineer will have experience working within an Agile environment, implementing and managing complex cloud solutions, testing applications, and developing web applications.
∎
∎ Participate in an Agile environment to develop, manage, and maintain the companies web hosting infrastructure.
∎ Design, build, test, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code
∎ Analyse user/platform requirements and translating them into solution recommendations.
∎ Create and innovate development of the platform and manage the user experience.
∎ QA, testing, and code reviews.
∎ Documentation of systems, procedures, and developments.
∎ Work closely with local and Irish based digital teams, and stakeholders.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 4/5 years' experience with the setup, configuration and maintenance of Linux based web servers, MySQL database, scaling and caching solutions.
∎ Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English is must
∎ Experience managing Code repositories (Git, Bitbucket) as well as versioning and release management.
∎ Experience building eCommerce sites, APIs & Web services, networking and complex stack platforms.
∎ Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure & management
∎ Good knowledge of MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, AngularJS, jQuery and JavaScript,UX/UI. Experience in PHP MVC Frameworks, preferably Laravel a bonus.
∎ Experience using web services such as REST/SOAP or other APIs
∎ Use of issue tracking tools such as Jira - Customer Issue Logging, Resolution and Reporting
∎ An ability to problem-solve and find answers and solutions where information is missing on a task.
