Job Context:
∎ The Senior Communications Manager will work in collaboration with Head of Communication to contribute to the overall strategy and implement specific activities in service of global programmatic and mission objectives. S/he will create external campaigns and oversee BRAC International`s portfolio of thought leadership activity across external speaking engagements/events, and earned media, within the context of an integrated communications plan. The Manager will also be responsible for ensuring that BRAC International speaks with clarity and authority, creates brand advocates and remains relevant to our key audiences.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Content:
∎ Serve as a storyteller and editor-in-chief for all contents produced by BI to ensure quality, clarity, consistency and alignment to BRAC's mission and vision.
∎ Write high-quality, detailed and data-supported content strategies maintaining clear relevance with BI's programmes and advocacy objectives.
∎ Produce and manage BI's editorial calendar, soliciting input from BI's programmatic communication leads and global communications leads i.e, BRAC UK, BRAC US, BRAC Bangladesh
∎ Programme Communications:
∎ Lead and work with the Country/Regional based communications functions to deliver programme and project-specific communications needs, including printed materials (flyers, brochures, learning publications), representation of projects achievements and stories on social media channels, websites, and other communication-related products.
∎ Plan, manage and oversee the production of engaging written and visual packages and multimedia content for BRAC International programmes. Consistently update and develop collateral materials and publish knowledge pieces to position programmes as a thought leader in the global discourse.
∎ Coordinate with fundraising, advocacy and programme teams to embed communications priorities and activities into BRAC International programmes and strategies.
∎ Innovate and bring new ideas and platforms to enhance team collaboration, internal communication and information exchange and peer-to-peer learning
∎ Thought Leadership:
∎ Pitch and secure new speaking engagements; respond to a roster of incoming speaking opportunities.
∎ Maintain an 'editorial calendar' to inform internal and external parties of thought leadership activity, and leverage appropriately.
∎ Drive, write, build capacity (and constantly review) of BRAC International's narrative - as well as proactive and reactive messages, such as Op-Eds, blogs, editorials, scripts for audio visuals, speeches and talking points for leadership, as necessary to be distributed across diverse national and international media and platforms
∎ Identify, prepare and support BI leadership in their role as spokespersons (ED, Board chair, Senior Directors, etc.)
∎ Collaborate closely with the digital media team to appropriately amplify thought leadership activities.
∎ Safeguarding:
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 5 years of experience and expertise working in content marketing
∎ Editorial or content experience
∎ Excellent verbal and written English language skills
∎ Storytelling, writing, and editing skills
∎ Excellent organizational, time-management, and quality-control abilities
∎ Excellent interpersonal skills, self-direction combined with open communication with colleagues to share standard methodologies
