Job Context:
∎ OaMetrix is a UK based startup building a SaaS application for the Higher Education and Publishing industry. We are looking for a person to be part of the executive team, helping set goals, implement policies and strategies, building the team and helping other colleagues while actively writing and improving the current codebase.
∎ It is a senior-level position which requires diverse experiences for building a complex enterprise application. We, therefore, expect that candidate will have several years` of experience in backend, frontend, data engineering and able to select and apply right AWS resources.
∎ The position is home-based, working with other remote colleagues based in Dhaka.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Write clear and concise code to build a secure and complex SaaS web application.
∎ Improve current core codebase and build new features as required
∎ Review and optimize the current code base to improve performance
∎ Initiate test-driven software application development methodologies
∎ Integrate multiple external systems to push and pull data through API
∎ Plan and Implement serverless data analytics
∎ Planning to shift the monolithic application to microservices in near future
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 4 years of experience with programming in Python, Django Rest Framework and hands-on experience working on enterprise software projects.
∎ Able to understand and improve system performance
∎ Understanding of JavaScript and React Js is a plus
∎ Good knowledge about Postgres database
∎ Able to integrate external systems for data exchange by API
∎ Good knowledge or willing to learn ETL process for data engineering
∎ Some knowledge of using or willing to learn AWS resources i.e. SNS, SQS, ElasticCache, Lambda, API Gateway, Athena, Glue, CloudWatch, etc
∎ Some knowledge or willing to learn EKS/Kubernetes to work with DevOps for implementing Microservices in future.
∎ Basic knowledge or willing to learn of CI/CD
