Assistant Engineer-Android Apps Developer

Solid understanding of Kotlin and object-oriented programming; familiarity with Java.

Working knowledge of Android fundamentals: Activities, Fragments, Services, Intents, lifecycle, and Jetpack components.

Experience with Android Studio, Gradle, and the Android SDK.

Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, and networking libraries such as Retrofit or OkHttp.

Basic knowledge of local storage (Room, SQLite, DataStore).

Understanding of Git and version control workflows.

Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Develop and maintain Android application features using Kotlin (and Java where needed), following the team's architecture and coding standards.

Translate UI/UX designs and product requirements into responsive, accessible, and performant screens.

Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party SDKs (for example analytics, push notifications, payments, maps).

Write unit and UI tests, and help ensure code quality through code reviews and static analysis.

Identify, reproduce, and fix bugs; investigate crashes using logs, Android Studio profilers, and crash-reporting tools.

Optimize apps for performance, battery usage, memory, and compatibility across devices and Android versions.

Collaborate with designers, backend engineers, QA, and product managers in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Use Git-based workflows and CI/CD pipelines to build, test, and release apps to Google Play.

Document code, features, and technical decisions clearly.

Stay current with Android platform updates and best practices.
