∎ USAID/Bangladesh is committed to sustainably strengthening health systems to improve quality, utilization, and ensure equitable access of essential health services. USAID/Bangladesh’s Office of Population, Health and Nutrition (OPHN) seeks a Development Program Specialist [(Communications and Knowledge Management), “the Specialist”] to tell USAID’s story about advancing health outcomes in Bangladesh. The position requires a strong background in external communications, including press and social media, as well as some knowledge of, or ability to learn about, public health in Bangladesh. The primary purpose of the Specialist is to provide of high quality internal and external communications to support OPHN programs and priorities. OPHN programs generate a significant volume of research, information and data. OPHN also manages a large number of public events. The Specialist will provide cross-cutting support to the office and engage with the USAID Front Office, Program Office (Development Outreach and Communications Team), and various Implementing Partners (IPs) to advance public communications, reporting, and knowledge management. This position will be responsible for internal and external communications, partner engagement, and agency reporting. The Specialist will develop communication products that meet the internal and external information needs of Mission and post management. They will also develop and support strategic outreach approaches and plans.
