- Age At least 30 years
Must have at least 5 years of experience as a Manager – Fabric Quality in a denim garments manufacturing company.
Should have good communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Work with internal Production, Merchandising teams and Suppliers to communicate and ensure Buyer`s quality requirements.
Provide guidance during the fabric sourcing, and acceptance procedures.
Ability to operate in a Global, Multi-culture environment.
Responsibilities & Context
Ensure the quality of incoming denim fabrics meets buyer specifications and company standards.
Supervise fabric inspection, defect identification, grading, and quality approval.
Monitor fabric testing, including GSM, width, shrinkage, skewing, spirality, and colorfastness.
Ensure proper shade grouping and lot segregation to prevent shade variation in garments.
Coordinate with fabric mills, suppliers, merchandising, cutting, and production teams to resolve quality issues.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for fabric defects.
Monitor supplier performance and minimize fabric rejection, wastage, and quality-related production losses.
Maintain fabric quality reports, inspection records, and testing documentation.
Lead and develop the fabric quality team to ensure effective quality control.
Ensure compliance with buyer requirements and continuously improve fabric quality performance
