• Hands-on maintenance experience in the Garment/RMG industry, with a minimum of 10 years managing specialized Outerwear / Heavy Jacket production machinery.

• Technical Expertise: In-depth, practical knowledge of automated sewing machines, seam-sealing, seam-taping, down-injection, pocket welting, and bonding equipment.

• Skills: Strong leadership, root-cause analysis, budget planning, vendor management, and knowledge of safety/compliance audits.

UTAH Fashions Ltd,. a renowned 100% export-oriented knit composite company of the Bangladesh is looking for an experienced, dynamic and highly potential professional as Manager / Senior Manager - Maintenance (Jacket) for the Garments Division located at Gazipur.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily preventive, corrective & predictive maintenance for all jacket manufacturing production lines and utility systems.

• Troubleshoot and maintain specialized outerwear machinery, including seam-sealing, down-filling, hot-air bonding, laser-cutting, and ultrasonic machines.

• Manage, train, and mentor the factory maintenance team to enhance technical capabilities and minimize breakdown response times.

• Establish and enforce a comprehensive Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedule to eliminate unscheduled machine downtime.

• Manage & optimize spare parts inventory specifically for jacket machinery to avoid production delays while controlling costs.

• Partner closely with production & quality heads to adjust machinery parameters for high-end jacket construction standards.

• Lead line balancing, machinery layout setups, installation, and commissioning for new jacket production lines.

• Analyze machine downtime root causes and implement continuous improvement programs to boost Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).

• Ensure strict compliance with occupational safety standards, environmental guidelines, and buyer technical audit criteria.

• Manage vendor relationships, evaluate new machinery purchases, and oversee service agreements with equipment suppliers.

• Enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic maintenance work.

• Drive energy efficiency initiatives to optimize utility and power consumption across the jacket manufacturing plant.
