• Strong knowledge of production operations, line efficiency, productivity and manpower management.
• Good leadership, team-management, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and achieve production and shipment targets.
• Candidates with direct plush/soft toy manufacturing experience will receive preference.
Responsibilities & Context
• Assist the Production Manager in planning and executing daily, weekly and monthly production schedules.
• Supervise production operations and ensure achievement of planned production targets.
• Monitor line efficiency, productivity and operator performance and take corrective action where required.
• Ensure the availability of required skilled manpower for the sewing section.
• Take responsibility for line/style shipment and timely completion of production.
• Ensure compliance, discipline and proper workplace practices within the section.
• Prepare and maintain accurate style closing reports.
• Ensure the availability of manpower, machines, materials and tools for uninterrupted production.
• Monitor production progress and resolve bottlenecks to minimize downtime.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity and reduce waste.
• Ensure proper implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across production areas.
• Monitor overtime and labour utilization to optimize production costs.
• Ensure timely completion of customer orders while maintaining required quality standards.
• Implement and follow management decisions and coordinate effectively with relevant departments.
