Senior Officer - Procurement

PGD in SCM is preferable.

At least 3 years working experience in officer/executive role in any reputed company.

Experience in Relevant Field will be preferred.

Good knowledge in shipping local procurement (Engine spares, navigation and safety equipment, hardware tools, electrical and mechanical spares etc).

Familiar with ERP Systems (Procurement and Inventory management software).

Fluency in Bengali and English for local and foreign vendor coordination.

Standard Computer Skills (Specially in Microsoft Office).

Honest & Hard Working.

Willing to work under pressure or overstay.

Source all types of electrical, mechanical, navigation, engine spares and safety equipment for vessels from local vendors.

Collect quotations for spares, stores, A.P.S. items from local vendors.

Prepare comparative statements (C.S.) for all items prior to procurement.

Raise purchase orders (P.O.) and issue them to suppliers for local procurement.

Verify challan copies, VAT challan and other related documents as per SOP.

Managing supplier/vendor relationship for the smooth procurement procedures.

Maintain proper records of all procurement related documents.

Collect vessel received copies and verify them against corresponding bills.

Process all types of invoices with complete and accurate documentation for the payment.

Conducting market research to identify cost-effective procurement opportunities.

Verify supplier invoices, delivery challans and legal shipping documents ensuring full adherence to company policies, internal controls and maritime/tax regulations.

Arrange transportation of goods from the local market and hand them over to the concern TA and CSLBD personal in right time.

Perform any other duties as assigned by the superior.
