Role overview
DigiProd Pass Ltd is hiring a Software Engineer for our Implementation Services team. You will build the customer-specific integrations, applications and configurations that make our Digital Product Passport platform work for each new customer, working through the platform's APIs and configuration options.
About DigiProd Pass Ltd. We are a Digital Product Passport (DPP) software company, part of TVS Group. Our platform helps manufacturers create, manage and share the product data that EU regulation, including the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR), increasingly requires. Our engineering team is based in Bangladesh. The Implementation Services team turns each new customer into a live deployment: configuring, integrating and extending the platform to fit their products and systems. We work through the platform's APIs and configuration options, and we do not change the core product, which our product engineering teams own.
What you will do
•Build custom services, middleware and tools that run alongside the platform and work through its APIs, mainly in TypeScript and Node.js.
•Configure the platform for each customer, including passport templates, data models, validation rules and access settings.
•Implement customer-specific workflows on top of the APIs, such as data import, approvals, notifications and reporting automation.
•Write clean, tested code, take part in code review, and deploy through our delivery pipeline.
•Investigate defects found during implementations and user acceptance testing. Fix problems in your own code, and give the product engineering teams a clear report when the cause is in the core platform.
•Record API gaps and feature requests for the product engineering teams, with the customer need explained.
•Estimate your work honestly, flag risks early, and keep Jira tickets accurate.
•Document your designs and changes so that support and other engineers can maintain them.
What you need
•At least 3 years of professional software development, with strong TypeScript and Node.js (Express), which is the stack of our platform.
•Solid experience building and consuming REST APIs (including OpenAPI), and working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
•Good engineering habits: Git, code review, unit and integration tests, and small, frequent changes.
•Experience with continuous integration and delivery pipelines, and with containers such as Docker.
•Awareness of secure coding, including authentication and authorisation.
•Able to read unfamiliar code and API documentation, find root causes and fix problems without causing new ones.
•Clear written and spoken English, including short design notes and honest status updates.
•Able to work independently on a customer deliverable and ask early when blocked.
