We are a world leader in making markets work for the poor as well as the longest-established market development specialist NGO in Bangladesh. iDE believes that markets can be a powerful force for improving smallholder prosperity by creating income and livelihood opportunities for poor rural households. iDE Bangladesh currently has eight projects in Agricultural Markets, Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), and Access to Finance with a focus on women`s economic empowerment and climate-smart technologies.
∎ iDE is currently looking for an Associate Officer-Finance and Admin for the Promotion of Integrated Sanitation Marketing (PSM II) Project.
∎ The Associate Officer-Finance and Admin will be responsible for day-to-day financial management and providing general administrative support within the assigned district following iDE policies, procedures, norms and donor guidelines, which includes but not limited to hub wise fund management, record keeping, cash and Bank management, on time payment process, maintaining donor and statutory compliance, orientation to non-finance staffs at hub level and coordination with other stakeholders etc.
∎ Reporting Line: Deputy Manager- Finance

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The responsibilities of the Associate Officer-Finance and Admin will include but are not limited to the descriptions below-
∎ Day to day financial transaction i.e cost assessment, hub wise budget monitoring, cash & bank management, update recording, financial document preservations NetSuite recording, coordination with stakeholders, and general administrative tasks etc.
∎ Provided necessary administrative and procurement support as per iDE policy
∎ Support project logistic functions such as venue booking, training and meeting arrangement, workshop arrangement and vehicle management etc. for the project team as well as visitors.
∎ Maintain stock of office supplies, inventory, fixed assets and all kind of files, register etc.
∎ Conduct all types of banking activities.
∎ Establish effective communication with Bank and other relevant stakeholders.
∎ Prepare monthly Bank reconciliation statements and Cash certificates.
∎ Process overtime payment for Office Assistant, Driver and hub level all document preservation and HR support.
∎ Function as the supervisor of Office Support Staff and other administrative and logistics activities.
∎ Provide necessary support to HR unit in terms of managing hub level staffs timesheet, leave, attendance, local level recruitment etc
∎ Maintain office filing, inventory and storage systems with proper documentation, security, and accessibility.
∎ Ensure compliance of financial policies & procedures
∎ Maintain congenial and comfortable environment atmosphere among the office
∎ Any other responsibility assigned by supervisors

Additional Requirements:
∎ A successful Associate Officer-Finance and Admin will have the following skills and experience and will be comfortable with the following conditions.
∎ At least 1-2 years of relevant experience
∎ Sound understanding of financial systems, bookkeeping, accounting and financial management, experience working in NetSuite Systems preferred but not mandatory
∎ Proper arrangement, prioritization and strong bank management skills
∎ Excellent administrative capabilities and managerial skills regarding official documents
∎ Experience in conceptualizing and creating strategic marketing and communication solutions
∎ Management and Technical Skills:
∎ Always maintain a good working relationship with other colleagues.
∎ Constantly update immediate supervisor on any concern and managing conflict very well.
∎ Decision making process is to be clear, consistent, and transparent
∎ Ability to successfully supervise a limited number of staff
∎ To be open, transparent, accountable and positive all professional perspective.
∎ To be loyal to the iDE values and principles.
∎ Personal Skills:
∎ Good ability to communicate about financial matters
∎ High ethical and moral standards
∎ Excellent interpersonal skills
∎ Ability to work with various national and international team members and flexibility to adapt to different work conditions

∎ Physical and Language Skills: Ability to travel and undertake fieldwork in rural contexts.
∎ Written and oral communication skills in English, including ability to present coherent and convincing messages to different audiences
∎ Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, email and the internet
∎ Familiarity with internet based software systems
