Responsibilities & Context
Procurement planning: Ensure timely chemical supply based on production requirements, stock levels and lead times to avoid production interruptions.
Sourcing and negotiation: Develop reliable suppliers and negotiate competitive prices, payment terms and delivery schedules.
Quality and compliance: Coordinate technical approval and verify chemical specifications, SDS, COA and applicable buyer compliance requirements.
Inventory and cost control: Maintain optimum stock, minimize expiry and excess inventory, and reduce costs through approved alternatives.
Order and supplier management: Process purchase orders through ERP, track deliveries and evaluate supplier performance on quality, cost and delivery.
